Untangling the Lies 08/07/2009
I look up into the midnight blue;
Reflected inside an awakening hue.
In my heart a wrathful longing
Yet lingers a fear of wronging
A loathing fire burns my very being
Is this truth really worth seeing?
A fist within my chest
Pulls at my very best
At the edge of this cliff I stand
I'm set and ready to make my demand
My voice will be heard
And they will hear every word
Here I am, my life now my own
I no longer accept this meaningless drone
They tell me this way is right
Those who gave me this sliver of light
Follow my heart to find what is true
The time is now to get what is due
Your thinking is wrong
Yet I knew it all along
It was always right before our very eyes
The evil poison of these lies
Your vile words are straight from Hell
Satin's rung his final bell
I am tired of your masquerade
There's yet a debt to be paid
For he who leads them astray
Oh, there will be hell to pay
I vow to reveal the truth within
I'll rise above your babbling din
The power of truth will be revealing
Your lies shall cease to be appealing
Know this, our father on high
Will no longer stand for your lie
He will shatter illusion
And tear apart this truth and lie infusion
Now part from your evil ways
There is not much left of your days
Truth shall set you free
Just as it did for me
