"Goodbye Luci." he said aloud in his real voice. He grabbed my face like he was about to snap my neck, he looked me in the eyes. His evil smile dissappeared. I was sobbing. His eyes went back to normal, the gray that they were before.

Another sob racked through my body, I was terrified.
Then everything was gone, the whispery voices, screams, everything. I was sure I was dead, but I felt hands still on my face, but the were gently holding it, not a fierce grip like Alaric's hands were. I opened my eyes, I saw my ceiling, and Alarics face. He looked guilt ridden. I looked around, I was in my room.
"What?" I asked. He looked down at me.
"Luci, I'm so, so sorry!" he said.
"What did you do?!" I yelled. My body shook, I was in the floor leaning against my bed, he sat in front of me holding my face.
"Luci,please understand understand that I didn't mean to do what I did." he said. I stared at him in disbelief.
"What?! Are you crazy, you were going to kill me!" I said.
"Luci." he said.
"What was that?" I asked. He looked down.
"What are you?!" I asked loudly. He looked me in the eyes.
"I can't tell you." he said.
"Alaric what are you." I said firmly. The wind outside was hitting the house hard.
"I'm sorry Luci." he said. I was about to speak again, when I realized I was alone. I looked around.
"Alaric?" I asked quietly.
"Alaric!" I yelled. I started crying again. This wasn't right, he shouldn't be able to that. I was insane, or he was... I didn't know anymore.
I layed in bed, it was about 10:30. I had a dreamless night for the first time since I seen Alaric in the park. That seemed so long ago, before I knew who he was. I now wish that I knew what he was. I heard a car pull up outside, and the doorbell ring. I was oddly hoping for it to be Alaric. I needed to know. I heard some chatter but wasn't able to make out who it was, then my door opened. It was Kristin, she didn't bother to knock, she never did.
"Good, you're awake!" she said. I sat up.
"What are you doing here?" I asked. She smiled.
"Well I wanted to know how your date went, duh!" she said. She sat down at my feet.
"Fine,I guess." I said. I pulled my knees to my chest.
"Oh no, what happened?" she asked.
"What? Nothing." I said. She looked at me.
"Luci, I've known you since Pre-k I know when something is up with you." she said.
"He's just a little different, that's all." I said. Yeah a little...
"So you don't think it will work out?" she asked.
"Slim to none." I said. She frowned.
"Well that sucks... He's hot." she said. I smiled.
I spent the rest of the day with Kristin we watched the Hangover, and did a bunch of random stuff. It was about 7:30 when she left. I sat in my room thinking of Alaric. Then I made a decision. I was going to Alaric's house and ask him what was up. I had to. I went down to my car and drove to his house before I had anytime to change my mind. I sat in my car a minute before walking up to his front door.
I took a deep breath and knocked. A few seconds later the door was pulled open. By that girl that insulted me in my dream.
"Oh... It's you." she said. She wore dark jeans and black boots, with a black shirt with about five purposeful rips down the front, and a gray shirt under it.
"Um, hey... Is Alaric here?" I asked. She rolled her eyes like I was torturing her.
"Yeah." she sighed. Then stepped aside for me to come in.
"Thanks." I said.
"Yeah whatever. Alaric!" she said. He turned the corner and looked shocked to see me.
"Um, Luci?" he asked.
"Yep, she was stupid enough to come back after you almost killed her." the girl said.
"Ember, go away." He said to her. She glared at me then walked off somewhere into the house. So she had a name...
"What are you doing here." he asked.
"I wanna know what happened, how you did it, and what you are." I said. He looked at me.
"No." he said sternly.
"Alaric tell me!" I yelled stomping my foot. He burst out laughing.
"What?!" I yelled.
"Nothing." he said clearing his throat.
"Alaric." I said quietly.
"Luci." he said softly. I looked up at him.
"Please tell me." I said. He put his hand on my face.
"No." he said.
"You have to." I said.
"No I don't." he said. "I can't."
"You can't, or won't?" I asked.
"Both." he said. I stared up into his eyes.
"You're not scared of me." he said. I shook my my head.
"I want to know." I said. His face moved closer to mine. Our lips met, it was like a thousand volts of electricity flowing through me. I gripped my fingers in his hair. This was so wrong, but for some reason I needed it. I felt connected to him. Then about forty seconds later he slowly pulled away from me.
"I can't tell you, it would risk your safety." he said. His hand was still on my cheek, my hands rested on the back of his neck. I was still slightly shocked.
"You've risked my safety already. What's one more time gonna hurt?" I asked. He sighed.
"Come sit down." he said. He took my hand and led me into his living room. Ember sat there on the couch watching Skins. She looked up at us and rolled her eyes. He led me over and pointed for me to sit on the couch by Ember. I sat, he sat down on the coffee table in front of me holding both my hands.
"Luci, this is very hard to explain." he said. I nodded, urging him to go on.
"I am what they call a Shadow Walker." he said. So that's how it worked, that;s why he dissapeared in the hallway.
"We can disolve into shadows, control dreams, and so many other things." he said. I stared at him waiting for him to go on.
"And the place I took you was the Shadow Lands, that's where Ember and I are from. I have to feed on children and youth under the age of eighteen to survive, and keep my youth. When I did what I did my instincts kicked in, I was hungry. I really wish with every fiber of myself that that wouldn't haven't had happened." he said. I stared at him. That was so horrifying, I didn't know how to react to something like that.
"And you see these?" he asked, holding out the silver crescent with the onyx in the middle. I nodded.
"These are our life source, it's called the Shadow Crest. These hold our blood, the black stuff is our blood by the way. If these get ripped off of our kneck we will begin choking like we can't breathe, and we will turn to dust. Then dissolve away into the nearest shadow." he said. I stared at his crest, I noticed how the black part kind of looked luiquified, I realized it was under glass, or something clear. I looked at him, then Ember, whose face had went from annoyed to sullen.
"That's why I dreamed of you two." I said. He nodded.
"Shouldn't you be running away in screaming terror?" he asked.
"Yes, but I won't if you promise me something." I said. He looked at me like I was insane.
"What?" he asked.
"Don't ever do that to me again." I said. He looked at me.
"I promise so solemnly to do so." he said. I smiled and rolled my eyes, he smiled to. I heard Ember get up and storm out. Alaric rolled his eyes.
"Forgive my sister, she's forever PMSing." he said. Oooooh sister! That's right she said that she was his sister in my dream. I'm so ridiculous!
"S'okay." I said. He looked around.
"Wow, this is so weird. I can't believe that you didn't run away." he said. I laughed. Honestly I couldn't believe I didn't either.
"Well, maybe you're just so charming that I couldn't." I said. He smiled.
"You need a ride home?" he asked.
"I drove." I said. He nodded.
"Alright, it's late and I don't want you parents to hate me so..." he said. I smiled.
"Ya that would suck." I said. He walked me to the door, and kissed my forehead.
"Drive safely Luci." he said. I smiled, and walked to my car. He stood in the doorway and watched me drive away.
Questions answered, I sleeped in peace. For the first time of good dreams of Alaric. In my dreams we sat in front of a fireplace, and talked. Nothing about the other worlds, or any complications. Just normal stuff, where we were going on our next date. It was nice. I slept with a smile.

Well now you know what Alaric is, I hope you enjoyed it! :D And also sorry about all the spelling errors in the last chappie but my spell checker was all "ERROR" and I was trying to hurry so I thought I'd wing it... not doing that again.
