A/N: Oh noez! I'm back with more gory stories! :D This was written at 2 in the morning... So it might not be too good since at that time I was tired yet high off of Mountain Dew... Hm...

Oh well, ENJOY!

Oh, and warning: Ravenous Ravens, Zombies, and Gory Images. :D

I didn't know where I was going, and I didn't care. I just needed to run… Run far, far away.

My legs burned, and yet I welcomed the feeling. It's been so long since I was away from my chains, away from my prison. I never ran in prison, I never had to.

The cold wind lashed against my pale skin, but I certainly didn't mind it. I loved the outdoors, even with the rose vines piercing my bare legs. Even if the outdoors were now covered in fields of continues rose vines, and the sky above was dark and crestfallen.

I heard shouts of people, crying out for me, calling me back. I didn't want to go back though, I didn't want to be trapped within their reach. They wanted their princess safe. But I didn't want to be safe, I wanted to be free…

Soon enough though, the shouts had faded away, all that was left was ravens squawking in the air, and the sound of my feet being continuously stabbed by the rose veins that intertwined underneath me.

I never looked back though, I kept my eyes forward. Even if I couldn't see, for my eyes had been long blurred out by the tears that fell, I could still see the light that stood far ahead of me. Light that I haven't seen in a long, long time.

"Guess what Sophia! I played a little trick on the elders today, do you want to help?!"

At the sound of the voice, I came to an immediate stop. I knew who's voice that is… So I looked to my right, where I heard the voice came from, and there she was, Feeya. Her golden locks flowed with the cold wind, and her smile as happy as ever. Not even this foul whether or disastrous fields can stop her smile, I thought.

So I smiled back…

As soon as I did, my head was filled with echoes of loud ravens. I looked up, wondering why there was suddenly so many… And that's when Feeya's scream of terror also filled my ears, harmonizing with the ravens.

The ravens flew all around Feeya, their beaks pecking at her skin, hair, anything their little mouths can get a hold of. I tried to yell at Feeya to run, to scream at her to get away, but she didn't move. She stood in the same spot, screaming, letting the crows pick at her skin…

Soon enough, they carried the bits of skin away. And when the skin was all gone, they carried away her heart, her liver, her kidney… Even her eyes were taken away in the raven's ravenous mouths.

Bright red blood was splayed across the entire field of which she stood. My eyes started to widen even more with dismay as the blood droplet disappeared within the vines, like they were absorbing it… And what replaced those blood droplets were bright, flush, red roses.

I stepped back.

"FEEYA?!" I called out desperately, looking for my best friend. Yet, no answer, except for some ravens screeching in the wind… Enjoying their feast.

I couldn't move… Until an arm wrapped around my shoulder, to steer me away from the scene. I looked up, looking at the dread look on my father's face. Dad? I wanted to ask, but suddenly, I felt some hands pushing me from behind.

I looked back, and Mom's silver hair danced with the wind but also covered her face. I looked at both of them, and they hurried me along.

I went with them for a while, and soon enough, Dad's arm left my shoulders to hold onto Mom's hand. I didn't mind, as long as they were next to me, I sincerely thought I was safe…

Until Mom tripped, her entire body falling onto the field of rose thorns we were walking on. I thought she'll get back up, after all, Mom was always admired for her strength and will… And she was about to get up…

Until the vines that pierced her body started to grow larger and longer. She screeched as they pierced and move through her body. Her black, poisoned blood spilled out across the thorns, and burned through it… But that only seem to anger it more, as the other vines wrapped around her body, growing larger and longer thorns, squeezing her.

Dad immediately ran back to her side, trying to rip the vines away from her. I was about to step into help, but that's when I saw the vines too were wrapping themselves around Dad. He didn't take any notice to it - he was too busy ripping the vines off of Mom.

Soon enough through, he too was trapped within the forever growing vines that wrapped around their bodies. I watched in terror as the vines started to squeeze and pierce them more, squishing their bodies. The sound of their bones crackling underneath the pressure filled my ears, and I just watched.

At one time, Dad's eyes locked directly on mine. His violet blue eyes that Mom had loved so much, had willed me to go on. Without opening his mouth - for the vines had already covered it - he shouted at me to leave. To get away.

I couldn't, I stayed and watched as the vines soon enough squash them to smithereens, body parts splayed everywhere. Dad's regular red blood dripped on me, unharmful, while Mom's poisoned blood burned my skin as it fell… I stared at the remains of my parents though…

Two hands, one girl hand and the other a belonging to a man, laid on the ground. Intertwined.

I stood paralyzed again, I didn't know how to go on. How was I? My best friend was just eaten alive by crows and my parents were just squeezed to death by deadly rose vines…

Suddenly, in the distant, I heard echoes of heavy footsteps, and I looked behind me, back in the direction of the castle from which I ran from.

The guards.

I knew they were still chasing me, they were going to keep chasing me until I pass the barrier. But they were always slower than me, their armors holding them down, hardly allowing them to run. They couldn't caught up to me already…

Though, as they came closer, I saw why they caught up to me.

What ever happened to them, they had a pretty good weight-loss diet plan.

As the guards came closer, dread filled me as I saw what had happened to them. They still held their armors and weapons, but it was perhaps the only way you can tell they were guards… Other than that, I could hardly tell they were even the same species.

Calling them emaciated is an understatement. Their bones stuck out from their body, in different directions, making them look mutated… and the skin that covered their body, was stretched out gruesomely to fix the bones.

Their faces were… sunken in, caved in almost, and their eyeballs looked giant compared to their falling faces. The eyes were all grey, and the pupils were barely there, as if they didn't have any…They didn't pay any mind to the bugs that flew around them though.

No… not around. Through them. They buzzed in and out of their heads, through their ears, out their nose, through their mouths… out their eyeballs, scraping through the eyeballs.

The thing that got me the most was the emotion on their face. They held none but one emotion, that stood frozen to their face…

Pure terror.

Their terror also spread out to me, as I stared at them with absolute agony and fear. I never liked them for keeping me in my prison castle… But I never… wanted this to happen. I never wanted… them to be…

Zombies.

"Sophia! Come on!" Something tugged on my arm, pulling me forward. I almost tripped forward at the random tug, but the arms caught me. They tugged me on, leading me forward. I looked up at my 'capture' or 'savior', and his smile greeted me happily in response.

O-Oliver… I whispered softly, hardly hearing my voice. His green eyes twinkled as I called out his name, hearing me perfectly fine. I couldn't believe it at first, but as I squeezed his hand that held onto mine, I felt more safe as he squeezed back, ensuring that he was right there… I smiled at him, so happy and relieved that someone I can trust was beside me again.

We kept on running, running away from the zombie guards… Running away from the ravens… Running away from everything that I wanted to leave behind.

We ran, until we could see the paradise right in front of our faces. The green lush grass contradicted to the dark vines of the roses, and the bright blue sky clashed with the cloudy ones above us.

Oliver kept rooting me on, making me run faster as the guards was just right on our tail. He kept cheering, kept being the optimistic person that I needed. I complied, listening to his words, feeling strength in what ever he said.

Until we passed the barriers…

Let me re-phrase that.

Until I passed the barriers.

I looked behind me, noticing Oliver's hold not on my hand anymore. Behind the clear barrier, he placed both his hands on the invisible wall. He tapped it a few times, unable to get through. He looked up at me in confusion. I didn't know what to do, so he tapped the wall. He started to punch it, started to kick it, trying so hard to get out of the prison to come out in the paradise with me.

But nothing worked, he was truly and completely trapped.

I tried to reach back, I tried to go back and pull him out, but the barrier wouldn't let me in anymore. Oliver kept on banging on the barrier. The barrier blocked out sound, but I can see the emotions that played across his face as the guards came closer. He looked at me with desperation, pleads, and terror…

He was screaming when they got to him. His eyes looked at me, pleading me to help him. I tried to, I banged on the barrier too, trying to get to him. But nothing worked. I tried to break the barrier, and soon enough my hands started to get raw from the constant hitting… I couldn't do anything to help though, and my hands laid not even a few inches from him.

When they got him, they ripped Oliver from limb to limb. First his arms, then his legs, but the kept him alive. They wanted him to feel every little pain they will inflict on him. They never wanted to kill him, all they wanted to do was to torture him. To torture me as I watch helplessly.

Next, they dug their nasty yellow nails into his eye-socket, literally gorging his eyes out. The barrier suddenly decided to allow noise through, and Oliver was screaming. The screaming pierced through me, as it was filled with complete agony.

He kept on screaming, yelling out my name. He called out to me to help him, he called out to me to make them stop…

I turned away, covering my ears and shutting my eyes as a knot formed in my chest. I felt utterly useless, worthless as tears slid down my cheeks.

Stop it… stop calling me… I can't help… I can't help… I repeated over and over again, like a mantra. But he still kept screaming, yelling. He needed me, he was dying, and he wasn't even 2 feet away from me.

I couldn't do anything. I left him to die. I allow the guards to get him. He was being brutally torture, to the point where he couldn't scream anymore. To the point where so much blood had spilled out of his body, he didn't look like flesh and blood anymore

To the point where they left him lying there, his body sprawled out in a distorted figure… His arms and legs, ears, even his nose was detached from his body. Cuts sprayed across his face and chest, small wooden sticks sticking out of his body like needles on a voodoo doll…

I stared in terror, my eyes blurring up with tears. I stepped back, feeling the soft green grass below my feet. I looked down, my legs covered in wounds and scratches from the thorns. The grass softly licked the wounds, and I shrieked.

It felt like acid against my skin.

The grass licked more and more, completely covering my legs in acid, and I kept on screaming. I ran away again, it's all I can ever do. I ran, but the grass kept licking my legs, burning off any part of my skin it touched.

I finally came to a tree, cherry blossoms filled the tree's limbs. The bright pink flowers danced with the leaves as the wind blew it back and forth.

I jumped up on the limb, wincing as my hands touched the course barked. It felt like needles, tiny little needles pressing against my skin as I touched it, pricking until I was bleeding.

I took in a deep breath, and looked up at the cherry blossoms.

Which had all mutated to giant, wet, drooling, jaws. My eyes widen as it snapped at me, falling down from the limb it laid on. One fell my shoulder, and I screeched as it bit down hard, it's canine teeth piercing through my skin, piercing through the muscle, and piercing through the bones that laid inside of me.

More fell, some onto my face, some onto my arm, and some onto my stomach. I screeched, trying to get them off. I swatted at the insane jaw cherry blossom, but the more I swatted, the more they came.

"Sophia!" A familiar voice spoke, and I looked down at the voice. There, Blade, whose teal eyes laced with concern and worry, looked up at me. He held out his arms, wanting to catch me. "Jump!" he called out.

I stared down at him, my eyes wet from the pain. My body sore from the constant biting and piercing, and my energy lacking from the lack of blood. I didn't want to jump, I didn't want him to miss me, I didn't want to fall onto the acid grass.

"Trust me Sophia?" He asked me, looking up at me sincerely and with a sense of longing. I looked away, I didn't want to, I didn't want to fall… I didn't want to be dropped…

I saw as my blood dripped down the bark of the tree, the needles somehow gobbling up the blood like tiny little insects… No wonder though, since suddenly bees started to swarm around me.

They wanted my blood, they wanted more of that delicious taste that slithered down their bark. So they swarmed around me, prinking me with their needles, poison filling up my own body.

"SOPHIA!" I heard the call again, and I took the chance. I jumped, closing my eyes tightly as I fell… further… and further down…

My entire body shook, my eyes widening as I stared at the scenery around me. I was in my room… The 'paradise' had disappeared around me, but I could still feel pain all over my body, and for a moment, I thought I saw the zombie guards waiting for me, leaning against the wall.

It wasn't for a moment though, there was a zombie guard there… Glaring at me, glowering at me… Waiting for me… Whispering, threatening me that he'll get me soon.

I jumped… Well, would have, if there weren't arms encasing me. I looked up, frighten if it was another guard. Another zombie that wanted to rip me limb-from-limb like Oliver… Or perhaps a raven man, that wanted to eat me part-by-part…

No, instead it was Blade. His teal eyes still looking at me in concern. His arms were carefully encasing me in a safe sanctuary. His mouth was moving, speaking to say things… I would have listen, but my mind wouldn't comprehend words at the time.

Instead, I leaned forward, burying my face in his chest. His arms wrapped around me more, to comfort me. I knew I could trust him… He'll keep me safe, I can let him help me… After all…

He caught me.

Yeah, yeah. I ended the story with a fluffy sweet ending... I had to make a good ending on day. Anyways, did you like it?
