Prologue

Cupid.

In Roman mythology, Cupid is the god of desire, affection and erotic love. Some forms of art portray him as a young, slender, winged youth. Others show him as a nude or sometimes diapered young boy or baby. He was often depicted with wings and a bow and arrow. A person, when shot by Cupid's arrow, is filled with uncontrollable desire for another. Mythology also says he carried two sets of arrows: one set golden, to inspire true love; another made of lead, to inspire erotic love. Pop culture has made him a symbol of Valentine's Day.

I simply think of him as an evil, diapered, little man with a sick sense of humour, stirring up chaos.

Don't get me wrong, I know he's not a real character. I know he's just myth and most people, including myself, don't believe in him.

But that was before that evil, diapered, little man turned my life upside down.

If my older sister, Rebecca, heard me saying this, she'd probably tell me to stop blaming things on imaginary characters and just accept that I'm the one responsible for my actions and feelings.

Psh. What does she know? You can't help who you fall in love with!

And that is why I blame it all on Cupid for everything that has happened to me so far.

A/N: I had started this story 2 yrs ago, but then life got in the way, and I hadn't updated it at all. I'm back now, and I'm rewriting this. This is like a side-story to Cupid Hates Me, but it can be read by itself. Where Cupid Hates Me had focused on Rebecca and Jake, Cupid Strikes Again will be focusing on Sasha, Rebecca's younger sister. The story takes place a year before Jake and Rebecca's wedding in Cupid Hates Me. If you want to read Rebecca and Jake's story and see Sasha in her nine-year-old cuteness, you should check out that story. ^_^
