Use Them
Preying on the innocent,
Seeking out the just,
Laying upon them lament,
Slowly shattering their trust.
Used by those so shallow,
Those who are in need,
So young and so callow,
On their candor we feed.
So easy to abuse,
We cannot deny,
We win and can't lose,
And they won't defy.
Their tainted naivety,
That was once so pure,
Ruthless human parasites,
Rotting them to the core.
Like an apple decaying,
We exploit these fools,
And in this game we're playing,
We make the rules.
