Moonlight Prayer

Underneath the moon and stars,

amongst the buildings and the cars,

I lay upon my make-shift bed,

a prayer embedded in my head.

A prayer for a place to sleep,

a prayer for a job to keep,

a prayer to keep me safe tonight,

a prayer that makes the world feel right.
