Author's Note: This story is based on a random idea I had during Study Hall. It will be similar to one of my earlier stories. Enjoy!
Prologue
By the 21st century, the word "dragon" meant a winged scaly creature that existed only in books, legends, and myths. Were they still in the world? As a matter of fact, they were completely mixed in with the human society. They were able to change into human forms at any time they chose to, so it didn't take long for the idea of dragons to be dismissed as fantasy after they changed form.
Almost all of the world's dragons had taken a vow: they would never revert to their true dragon form unless it was unavoidable. Only two dragons did not agree to this, and they were forced to hide until the time was right...to come out of hiding and begin a rule of terror once more. The human-dragons formed cities, towns, and civilizations of their own. Although they still avoided mortals, their children did not remember why they did so.
Although the human-dragons were settled in an almost unreachable place, they advanced in technology along with the rest of the world. They had laptops, cell phones, television, and all the modern things. They had all the food they needed right on their islands, so hunger was not a problem. In fact, for most of the families, the biggest problem was not so big. For example, children often complained, "Why is there so much homework?" Maybe there was a reason for that. Maybe not. However, some families kept up the tradition of passing stories on from generation to generation; thus, the legends of the dragons were born.
