Author's Note: Alright, here's the thing: In the past two years, I've written a bunch of really short stories that I've only posted on facebook for friends to read. Now, looking back on them, I really want to post it on here, so you guys can read them, and tell me what you thinkā€”no matter how cheesy they are! So warning here, this is one of the first of those stories which means it was really, REALLY cheesy so just bear with me. And please tell me how you liked it, if it was childish, I understand because I think it is too :)

"I haven't been to a playground in SO long," Stacey said, looking at Jake.

"Stace..." Jake said, rolling his eyes.

"Please? Come on, how many times in this world do you ever get to go to a playground with me? On a night like this?" She asked, longingly.

"Alright. Fine. But I'm only doing this for you," he retorted.

"Yes!" Stacey screamed. She ran around a tree, and stopped to look at Jake. Jake interrupted before she could take another step.
"Stop right there! I have to take a picture of this. You look so cute." He took out his cellphone and told his girlfriend to smile.
"Okay, thank you," He said, smiling.

Stacey ran on to one of the swings and told Jake to come. Jake ran over to her, and stared at her.

"You want me to push you, don't you?"

"Oh, you know me so well. Just a little?" Stacey said, looking into his eyes.

He gave her one huge underduck, and then ran out from under her.

"That was nice," she said, laughing.

"I'm not doing it again, you know," Jake said, getting on to the swing beside her.

"I know. I was just wondering HOW in the world, you could catch up to me," Stacey said, teasing. She started pedaling like a crazy woman going after something she's always wanted.

"Oh, don't worry about me, baby. I'll be up there in no time."

After about a minute, Jake had already caught up to Stacey.

"Are you kidding me?! That fast?" Stacey shrieked while still pedaling.

"Look at these legs of steel! What'd ya think?" Jake retorted. Not slowing down, he jumped off the swing like there was nothing to it.

"Stace, come on, jump!" He yelled.

"No way! It's way too high!" Stacey yelled back.

"I'll catch you Stace. Don't worry." Stacey groaned, and got ready to jump. She leaped off of the swing, closed her eyes, and screamed the whole way. After what seemed like hours, but was really 5 seconds, she felt herself fall into Jake's arms.

"You caught me," Stacey said, dazed and opening her eyes.

"Of course I caught you! I said I would," Jake said, grazing her cheek.

He let her go, and ran up to the slide. She ran after him, but he had already slid down. She waited for him to come back up, and put her feet on the slide. When he finally reached her, Stacey started sliding down. But felt something tugging on her feet. Who ever or whatever it was, was pulling her down.

"Oh my God, Jake help!" She screamed.

"What is it?!" She started kicking her legs, hoping the person would let go. Finally, with her kicks and his strength, Jake pulled her up and away from the guy. He saw the guy run out from the slide. Jake jumped over the railing and ran after him. The guy looked back, but just kept on running. He was no match for Jake though. He finally caught up to him, and jumped him.

"Get off of me!" He yelled.

Jake took off his hood and saw who it was. He was so surprised.

"Matt?! What, it wasn't enough you made the school turn on Stacey, now you have to bother her wherever she goes?" Jake screamed and gave him a punch in the face. By that time, Stacey had caught up.

"Who is it?" She asked, and then saw him.

"Oh my god. Your kidding me. Matt?!" Jake gave him another punch in the face.

"I can't believe you, man," Jake proclaimed.

"What in the world is your PROBLEM?" Stacey shrieked, "what have I EVER done to you?!"

"I hate you!" Matt spat at her.

"You know what? He doesn't even deserve BREATHING our air. Come on Jake, let's get out of here." Jake punched him one last time and stood up.

They turned around and started walking.

"What a maniac," Jake said.

"A maniac with a gun," Matt said.

Jake and Stacey both turned around. Before anyone knew what happened, they heard two gunshots and Jake saw Stacey jump in front of him.

"NOOOO!" He screamed. Matt started running away, but Jake got him just in time.

"I can't-believe-you-shot-her. You-are-so-stupid!" Jake said in between the punches. Jake threw him down and ran toward Stacey. He held her in his arms, and rocked her back and forth.

"No. No. This can't be happening!" He took out his cell phone, and called 911.

"My girlfriend was just shot. Come now! Quick! I don't want her to die!"

A minute passed by, and Jake heard the sirens. An ambulance stopped in front of the park. Then came another one. Then came a police car.

"Please. Please, help her!" Jake said, tears running down his eyes.

"Please. I don't want her to die."
