Matthias walked into the Head Office. Fresh out of College he had been drafted as a CSIS agent, rumors were he was now being inducted into the witness protection program. His rough background gave him the ability to think like thugs, making him the best to hide important people from them. He approached the reception desk, and before he could even open his mouth to say anything the secretary cut him off without looking up.

"J. Matthias I presume?" She said in an impatient tone.

"Um, yes ma'am."

"Four floors up, second door to your left. You're 34 seconds late already so I suggest you start running."

"I think the big man can wait for me." Mathias said and strolled toward the elevator, stepping before the annoying woman could respond.

Once the elevator doors opened, it was like stepping into a conspiracy novel. Men in black suits and earpieces guarded every door, two to each door. The hallway was completely silent except for the breathing of the guards. They all inhaled and exhaled at the same time, making it seem as if the hallway itself was breathing.

Matthias turned to face the second door when the two guards sharply turned and both put hands on his shoulders.

"State your name. If your authorization is not cleared we have the right to forcibly remove you from the building." Both voices said at the same time.

It's like they are fucking robots Matthias thought, "My name is Joshua Matthias. I have been summoned for a 3:00 meeting."

"You're 2 minutes late." The guards told him, but still stepped aside and resumed their motionless stance.

Does time really mean that much? Jesus. Matthias grumbled to himself. Opening the door he walked into a spacious, empty room with only a large desk in the centre. A high backed chair was facing the floor to ceiling windows, which provided a wonderful view of the Toronto cityscape.

"You're late." a voice boomed from the chair.

"So I've been fucking told, could you tell me why I'm hear now, or why you dragged me from a case I've been working on for 6 months and was very close to solving it." Matthias growled. He hated repetition, even if it was from his boss.

"That is no longer your case. You have been transferred to a different department." The voice stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!" He slammed his fist on his desk, "If you take me off that case you could let a child rapist never be put to justice! Are you willing to risk that!"

The chair swiveled around, revealing a large man in an imposing suit with a gray crew cut and a strong jaw line. "Of course I'm not going to risk that! I'm taking over your case personally, we have more pressing needs for your specific talents. I'm sure you are aware of the Stevens family."

"Yes, there is a chapter on them in the handbook, telling us to stay away from them as they could probably rip us apart in a second."

The Boss nodded, "Well, as part of the Commonwealth, we are able to call upon this family if needed, and we have a need. The British government has cleared us to be able acquire the most promising relative of the Stevens family, a girl in the direct line from the original assassins. Her mother worked for the British government back in the 70's. Her name is Jessie Stevens, I want you to acquire her services. All details will be given to you as the time comes. But I want you to be very subtle in what she is coming here to do. Take her out of her environment without the possibility of people trying to look for her. Understand me, Matthias?"

"Yes sir." Matthias' heart was pounding, his palms starting to sweat. He had heard a lot of things about this family, most involving a lot of blood. And from the rumors, this Jessie girl was the worst out of all of them. Thank God she will be working for me, and not against me.
