A Million Dresses, Mirrors, and the One Beautiful Truth...
Dress one...
Elegant, seeming extravagant and luxurious to all eyes...
I try it on and come forth with the honest mirror...
Dress one screams 'filth and horror'
...
Dress two...
Sophisticated, wanted by all wondrous eyes...
I try it on and confront the honest mirror yet again...
Ashamed to even make a statement...Dress two walks away...
...
Dress three...
Well-prepared, honest...seemingly the perfect wear...
I try it on and once again...face the honest mirror...
I'm not good enough for this dress...not good enough it tells me...
...
Then comes Dress four...then five...six...ten...a million...
The never-ending...the honest mirror...the ugly truth...
...
I suddenly come upon a rather distinct dress...
neither elegant...extravagant or luxurious to the eyes of all...
nor sophisticated and wanted by all wondrous eyes...
or well-prepared, honest and seemingly perfect...
but lovely in MY eyes...
I try it on...again faced with the honest mirror...
This Dress beams and tells me:
"You're Beautiful"
...
The honest mirror...seemingly coming from THIS Dress...
With this Dress...I feel beautiful...
THIS...me...insignificant...lacking the qualities to match the millions of Dress...
...
No matter what happens...I will wear these words...
"You're Beautiful"
the words of THIS Dress...
YOUR words...
...
the One Beautiful Truth...
