Chapter 3

Sorry it has been a little while, but here is a little information on Abby and a glimpse into her past.

You can be forgiven, if you're sorry that is. I know what I have done before can seem unforgivable but they have been mistakes, I was weak and not in control. I know what I have is not 'normal' but I'm not alone, there are others. I have heard story's and rumours of the 'talented' but I didn't want to get my hopes up, so I kept them as story's to tell myself when things got difficult.

It was a few weeks ago when I first saw her, she walked straight past me and I knew she was different. I kept my eye on her but not following her, I had no reason, to every now and again she would appear. Walking down the street or buying from a store with her mother, she would always come to me without knowing. I looked carefully at her actions to see if it was possible that she was like me, I tried to get her to use her power if she had one. As she was walking home I would make torrential rain fall in hopes of of her using an ability.

Meanwhile I being followed by some rather undesirable people, I had a 'run' in with them about a year ago and they claim I stole some money. The money did belong to me though, in my father's will I was left $600, all the money he had. I never received a penny as it was taken by the said undesirables they said it was owed to them, so I 'borrowed' without any intention of returning.

I listened to conversations between the girl and her mother, I soon found out her name was Lilly but she kept everything else hidden only saying the minimum to anyone who spoke to her. Weeks I spent watching her, and I still hadn't discovered her ability. I needed to move on, the ones following me where getting closer and I couldn't risk another mistake, I decided I would stay two more days and if she showed no talent then I will move on and continue my journey. I felt sad leaving her, I thought of her as a friend and it would have been nice to have talked to her but I knew that unless she was like me there was no point.

On the final day I noticed something a little strange, she was sitting in a coffee shop opposite and just staring with a frown at the man in front of hers back. I moved a little to see what it was but there was nothing, I moved a little closer but still nothing. Maybe she was just thinking of something sad? Yes that could be it, but no she just done it again to a young girl running past her.

Had she always done this? Sprinting across the road I kept my eyes focused on her, and she done it again. Is that her ability? How have I never noticed it? I wanted to stay a couple more days to see if this could maybe be her special gift. Within two more days I was positive that Lilly did indeed see something on peoples backs, but I was still without a clue as to what it could possibly be.

I can't create a storm out of thin air, I need the right conditions and then and only then can I create them. I can make anything from a freezing wind to a hurricane with lightning. I had waited to long and know they had found me, I had the right conditions to make a heavy rainfall but unfortunately it was not good enough, I heard her following me and knew I should protect her, and I did. After all she is all I have.

There is a lot more to Abby's story but it will come to light when Lilly finds out.
