I feel like I'm drowning,

In the thick shadows of life,

Flouting in a river that runs backwards,

Into the pure darkness of the night,

Where the nightmares all run free,

But they don't hide their shapes,

And the light is forced to flee,

But is not hidden away.

Where the shadows hide in there holes,

Because the darkness rules the land.

The difference is that one is pure,

And one is covering man.

And as the world turns,

The river loses its tide,

Draining into the ground,

Until there is nothing left to abide.

Wandering in my nightmare world,

Until the sun comes with the day,

Taking back my darkness,

And bringing the shadows out to play.

Bringing back the shadows,

Making the river start again,

Taking away the truth filled nightmares,

When the current begins.
