Dedicated to Ms. Gagnier, the most wonderful Lit teacher a girl could ever have.
No Sense
Let's make some nonsense!
Let's write a poem!
Come break a habit,
And send it all home!
We'll dot all our t's
And cross all our i's!
We'll salt all our shakers
And record all the tries!
For the win, my fair lady!
Or something close to it.
We'll out and play base-ball,
No lying, no shih-ih- er- lies.
So let's hang with the people,
We've learned all about!
Like Marcos and Hero,
Give a scream, give a shout!
Esperanza and Nenny,
Rosaline, Rosaleen,
Romeo and our Benny,
Of the Volio, I mean!
I see a crazy old bird,
And that raven's here, too!
maggie and milly,
One confused Montague!
Let's meet a woman and washer,
A girl with some bees,
Old men from strange temples,
And grand summer sees.
I've learned of old hip-hop,
I know my Siren Song,
A dozen poems I agree,
And some more that are wrong.
Let's fly with the eagles!
Vorpal swords in right place!
Stop Pyramus and Thisbe-
They forgot to embrace!
Well, I know Bottom lies,
And walls obviously talk,
But sorry Penelope,
With husband of squawk.
Well, I met all these crazies,
And surely much more!
Because of you, my dear teacher,
It was never a bore.
Oh No!'s , you are leaving!
I fear for the school!
Life lessons were learned,
There's no one to fool!
Our fair teacher's leaving!
No time for good-byes!
So I write from the heart,
And we'll meet under blue skies.
How was the poem?
I wrote it for you,
I'm sure you've read better,
But I assure you I'm true.
