I wake up with a massive hangover. I groan and roll over in my bed, trying to recollect last night's events of my pity-party. Bits and pieces come back in flashes, mostly about a cute guy that gave me his number.

I stand up and stumble into my tiny bathroom. It's not really small, but it's not exactly comfortable either. I tried to make it homey and put up a shower curtain with multicolored ducks, surrounding this one, huge rainbow duck. I know it sounds gay (if unanimated objects could sound gay), but I'm totally straight. Well, except for that one dude last night. Any who, I had orange and blue towels that were so soft; you'd want to sleep in them. Naked. Not that I've done it beforeā€¦

It matches my room, which has celurin blue walls and orange furniture. Weird, I know, but they're my favorite two colors, and I couldn't choose between them.

I inspect my reflection to see a bruise beginning to form on my forehead, and briefly remember me falling last night. I chuckle and mumble something about me being a clumsy drunk and let my hair fall to cover it as I get the asprin out. I step into the shower to get ready for school. I've gone plenty of times with hangovers, and this one isn't too bad.

I walk to school, seeing as how I live two blocks away. And meet my friends. I don't have a lot, but I have enough so that I don't feel like a loser. There's Cammy, a sophomore with dark, brown hair always in a braid and a book always in her hand. She's very quiet sometimes, but she sticks up for what she believes in. I'm also friends with Derek, Mikey, Manny, Jordan, Alyssa, Ashley, Sam, and Danny.

Derek, Mikey and Jordan are all juniors in my class. Derek dresses in all black, has piercings on his eyebrow, lip and tongue and bleached his hair. Mikey and Jordan are both on the soccer team and are pretty darn hot. Just saying. I think they have something going on that they haven't told us about yet. I have no idea why they hang with us. Actually, this whole group is made up of opposites and stereotypes. Anyway, Alyssa, Sam, and Ashli are on both the hockey and softball teams, and are very, very competitive. Manny is the only senior, with a piercing in her nose and hair died in all the colors of the rainbow. Danny is a freshman and very California with blond hair and baby blue eyes. He became very popular with the girls quickly and is very talkative. Overall, we're a group of jocks, nerds, Goths, preppies, and band geeks. Very interesting, I know, but he all get along and hang out frequently.

I greet them at the entrance and Manny tackles me into a bear hug.

"Oh my god, I missed you!" She exclaims in my ear.

"Manny, you saw him two days ago and talked to him last night." Mikey says gently, his voice filled with laughter. Still, he comes over to hug me as well, and what Mikey does, Jordan does, and soon everyone but Cammy is hugging me. She takes out her phone and snaps a picture while laughing at our immaturity.

"Come on guys, before we're late." No one moves, they only hold on tighter. I manage to squeeze out an "Guys, you're chocking me." Before we all stumble and fall to the ground, a laughing heap.

Cammy takes another picture and rolls her eyes.

"Fine then, get a detention. I'm leaving." She states, but is still standing there with a smile. I guess you could say she's the mother of our group, the most mature next to Derek. I kind of feel bad, making her worry at such a young age, but when voiced she said she doesn't mind, it gives her something to do.

"Okay, come on before we give her another gray hair." I joke, standing up. Well, more like hopping up. I'm so happy, my friends just do that to me.

"Oh, yeah, you're like what, Thirty now?" Sam says, dusting off her clothes.

"Come on." Derek says as he pulls me away toward the classroom, leaving behind our friends. We find a seat in the back and start talking.

"So, what did you do last night?" he casually asked, I know he's worried. He knows about how much of a bitch my mom is, hell they all do, but he's the one I call first.

I just shrugged. "Out" was my reply before the teacher started introductions.
