An age has emerged anew for her
For Tunis, her land and people too
The people's spirit violently burned
After the cries of a woeful man
Whose life taken away from him
By the rulers' unforgiving handling
Desperation led him t' ignite himself
And from the flame that devours him
Set forth th' explosion of the people
May this end well for them, I pray
For the fair, good people of Tunisia
As a sign of support for Tunisia's potential revolution and reformation, and hopefully the rest of the Arab world.
In memory of the historical event of May 1998, the fall of Indonesia's New Order regime.
