August 4th
Isobel loved dick, cock, penis whatever you wanted to call it. She especially liked Tegan's piece- he worked it well. Together in their area of Princeton they had slept their way around until they found each other. It had been junior year in college when Isobel had just broken up with some guy named Matt who had been very good in bed. But like a spider Isobel had spotted Tegan and brown nosed him for all he was worth. It had been a shock- and maybe mild relief- when Tegan found Isobel was not staying the night. He had though just because he had been so happy she'd turn into some clingy whiney girl. They ended up becoming best friends and once in a blue moon lovers.
"Have you watched the news today?" Tegan asked as Isobel looked for her underwear. Being back home meant the quantity and quality of males went down. It was usually the summer months that Isobel and Tegan fucked each other's brains.
"No, only you would watch the news. We're college students! Let's drink and fuck and learn for snobby professors who think they're better than shit!" Isobel laughed.
"Seriously you should watch it. Weird shit has been going on," Tegan shrugged. He sat on the couch with his dress shirt wrinkled and tie loose.
"Yeah, yeah like what?" Isobel asked. No one was home; Tegan had made sure his little brother had gone over the Hunter's while he fucked Isobel.
"Like New York City is under quarantine and they expect New Jersey will be too. And you can't even get a dial tone for north eastern states," Tegan told her. His pants remained on the floor while he flipped through the channels on TV. Isobel however decided to use the chair to his left.
"And you know this how?" Isobel asked. Tegan smirked at her and for once she remembered why women threw themselves at him.
"Because my friend lives in Maine. I was suppose to go climbing with him but he hasn't called or anything," Tegan told her.
"Maybe he turned off his cell?" Isobel shrugged. Tegan snorted before landing on the porn channel he snickered before changing it to the History Channel.
"Nah, his girlfriend would go crazy. She'd got him by the balls," Tegan laughed. Isobel rolled her eyes and stared the TV.
The news anchor was talking about some Panda which they had been talking about for the last two weeks. Tegan flipped to MTV then to the history channel. They watched as the universe was unveiled to them. they heard a scream and a dog barking. Isobel turned the volume up annoyed.
"Wanna go out tonight?" Isobel asked as a commercial for KY Jelly began.
"Sure, bored already?" Tegan asked. He glanced at her his eyes smirking at her breasts.
"Eh, I think we're out grown each other," Isobel shrugged.
"Hum, kay, cool," Tegan nodded.
They heard a scream again and this time Isobel didn't volume up. They stood, Tegan turned off the TV, and Isobel got dressed quickly. Tegan checked the front door and Isobel looked out to the back of the house. She blinked and stared at a pair of arms in the yard. She saw a dog head and guts, a trail of blood leading away from the house.
"Tegan! Get over here!" Isobel yelled.
"What?" Tegan asked. She pointed to the parts on the lawn before turning away from them. Tegan moved to open the door but Isobel stopped him.
"We should use the side door. What if someone is waiting for us?" she asked. Tegan looked down at her and nodded. They head to the kitchen and out through the door.
The heat and smell of blood hit them like a smack to the face. The rest of the dog's body was in three different pieces. The ribcage looked cleaned with white bones showing while the rear-end was a bloodly mess. Then they saw the body, it lay next to the two trash cans. Blood had pooled underneath it while the hands had been ripped of flesh.
"Oh my GOD!" Isobel said. Tegan pulled her closer to him as they stared at the body. The head seemed to be in the pool turning the water a light shade of red. They walked together closer to the pool; the gate was open streaks of blood leading the way out or in.
"What the fuck?" Tegan asked as he looked around for anything that could have done that to the person.
"Tegan…" Isobel whispered as they backed away towards the door.
"What?" Tegan asked. Isobel poked him in the ribs and he turned to face her and where her arm was pointing at; Tegan's younger brother stood at the door blood dripping from his mouth. They stood frozen in place as Jeremy stumbled towards them.
"Jeremy? What happened?" Tegan asked pulling Isobel with him as he walked towards his brother.
"Tegan?" Isobel asked quietly. Jeremy smiled blood dripping down his chin as he slowly walked towards them.
"You okay?" Tegan asked lifting his hand to touch him. Isobel however grabbed it just in time. Jeremy tried to bit his brother and walked steadily towards him a soft moan coming from him.
"That's not your brother," Isobel said, "Tegan!"
Isobel tried pulling away from Tegan as Jeremy stumbled slowly closer. Everything stopped however when a spray of blood and a brain flew into the pool. Tegan pulled Isobel towards the garage, now moving as fast as he could. They scrambled into the car and sat for a second.
"Your brother tried to bite you," Isobel told him. Tegan snorted and looked at her like she was crazy.
"I hadn't noticed. What the fuck?" he asked. He didn't get an answer from Isobel as she stared at the neighbor. His eyes were glazed over- they were milky white- pus filled boils- by the look of it- had started to cover his face. Jeremy was now walking towards them. The neighbor slowly tried to reach through the window, blood printing on it as he kept hitting it with more and more force. Tegan then saw more of these things slowly making their way towards them; some were holding arms others were just covered in blood, they all however were making the same moaning sound.
"Drive," Isobel told him firmly. Tegan looked back even though it was getting hard to see through the blood.
"But my brother…" Tegan said watching his brother.
"What ever happened he'd not your brother anymore. He tried to fucking bite you! Just drive the god damn car so we can get out of here!" Isobel demanded.
It didn't take them long to realize that half of the people on the street were whatever Jeremy was. They stopped for gas once- there was no one to pump it so they had to- before they drove towards the Delaware Bridge. They hardly saw any cars they weaved in an out of the one stopping the traffic. If they did see people they weren't really human. As they came up upon exit thirty six they saw a young woman holding a sign.
"Don't stop!" Isobel said as Tegan slowed.
"She's not covered in blood she looks fine to me," Tegan shrugged as he stopped.
"Thank God!" the young woman signed.
"Yeah," Isobel pouted. Tegan held in a laugh as the young woman relaxed slightly in the back seat.
"I had to fight off like five zombies before you guys came!" she told them.
"Zombies?" Tegan asked. She nodded taking deep breaths and looking over her shoulder as they drove. Isobel gave Tegan a look that meant she thought the young woman was crazy. She didn't look crazy though and Tegan was sure she wasn't.
"Yeah, that's what I was told before," she grumbled.
"Oh?" Isobel questioned.
"Yeah, I was at a book store with me friend. We were heading back to our car when these dudes pick us up! I thought we were getting kidnapped but they turned out to be from some place up north. Supposedly there are zombies and they blocked off New York and stuff. They said New Jersey was next but I didn't believe them. They dropped me off here," she told them.
"I'm Tegan," Tegan told her.
"Morgan," Morgan smiled.
Okay so soon I'll have more chapter's up! I totally know where part of this is going- but I work, a lot, so it's hard to update. Oh and my friends like to go do stuff so that gets in the way too...lol.
