City Changes

Sitting on a city bench,

Side by side,

With another stranger,

Of the world.

Aware of the other,

Just inches away,

But neither of them,

Say a word.

Flow of endless people,

Pass by blind,

To the connection of the two,

That might not exist.

Maybe there could have been something,

There in that place.

So many opportunities,

Too many to list.

What could have happened,

Will remain always unknown,

Choices made by people,

That they may please.

So there is a chance,

For one to be made,

Until we have one get up,

And leave.
