One Love Nailed

By Poisoned Twinkles (with reference from the Bible's Love Chapter: 1 Corinthians 13)

If the world would never let me rest
If the world would always put me to the test
If all the things I had collapsed into dust
There is One Love where I would put my trust

If no one believed a single thing I would say
If I shed heavy tears all night and day
If I would give all and get nothing in return
There is One Love for which I hopefully yearn

If I would be cast into the darkest black hole
If I would be forced to give up my mind and soul
If my body would be tortured and torn apart
There is One Love they'd never get from my heart

What is this Love, this Love that I bear?
Simple: it is the Love that is everywhere
The Love that is patient, the Love that is kind
The Love that depends not on the mind

This Love never fails but it does not boast
It always protects, perseveres, and hopes
This Love is my Salvation, my Redemption, my Light
Love of the One who does all things right

This Love is my Salvation, my Redemption, my Light
The reason why I sing and dance every morning and every night
This Love is my God, and He gave this Love to me
The biggest, hardest sacrifice of all eternity

This Love is my God, and for my sake He died
That's why unto Him I say, "In all things, You are glorified."
This Love is my God, and for my sake He died
That's why unto Him I say, "In all things, You are glorified."

(A/N: It's been a while since I wrote a simple, straight-to-the-point poem with a rhyme scheme. Sorry if it wasn't delivered too well, but I'm pleased with it.)
