The Fire

The fire dances across the wood

Like little dancers in a ballet

Crackling like a lion in its cage

Inviting to come closer

But burns you to the touch

So you sit and watch

Feeling the warmth

But never enveloping yourself

Into the warmth that looks

So dazzling yet so beautiful

Letting you watch as it acts

Like it is so lovely

As sweet as the scent of a flower

Drawing you closer

And closer until you fall

Ripping apart at the seems

Majestic in its own way

Tragec when you want it

It is not to be depended on

It is not stable and falls

Disappearing from sight

When you want and need it

The fire has been put out

But it will be back

Only to hurt you once more
