The Calm Before the Storm
The sun blazes, shining brightly,
Hanging overhead, overlooking its vast domain,
Not a cloud mars the perfect sky,
Or is all as calm as it seems?
For wind, that mischievous troublemaker,
Has suddenly brought on an overcast sky,
Grey clouds gather and threaten the peace,
As the air around grows heavy and thick.
Lightning flashed, striking the ground,
Followed by thunder, trumpeting its fury,
The clouds meet, swirling and snarling,
A new battle is about to begin.
