Chapter 5
"What are you doing?"
"Sleeping?" I retort groggily, turning my back to the intruding voice penetrating my -no longer- peaceful sleep.
"You know what I mean, smart ass. Get up, you're gonna be late again." I groaned as I felt him pull the pillow from under my head and throw it back down over me with unnecessary force. I finally turned my head towards the voice speaking to me. Why the hell does he still have a key to my place?
"Jay…?"
"What?" He asked, making the word sound more like a demand.
"Why is it every time I wake up, you're here?"
"Why is it every time I'm here, you're sleeping?"
"Because you're a sadistic bastard who likes to come here at an ungodly hour and bug the shit out of me. Only a higher power could possibly know why you've been here every morning for the past week." I answered as I swung my feet over the edge of the bed, letting my feet dangle before I finally let them touch the cold hard wood floor.
"Or it could just be the fact that you never wake up on time when you have the morning shift and mom made me promise to make sure you don't get fired."
"Don't call her mom and I'm not gonna get fired. That woman who hired me loves me too much."
"Whatever. Shut up, get dressed, and get to work." Were the last words I heard as he closed the door to my room. "And don't be late!"
Slam!
There went the front door.
AN: Sorry. I know it's short, but I just wanted to get something out to let you know I'm still here. It's been about a year and I'm even sorrier (if that's a word) for that fact. I didn't stop writing and thinking about this story. This little chapter piece has just been sitting in my computer chilling and not being touched for so long, so I just decided to put it up and start a new chapter all together. Forgive me for the lateness, in my defence I'm always late... if that helps. It probably doesn't but yeah, I'm sorry. I'll try and get something up that's an actually chapter by next week, but... ya'know, don't hold me to it. SORRY!
