This is a product of too much time spent on imagination and fantasy. Basically, the poem is about a girl (me) who dreams up this perfect version of herself, all the while, feeling worse and worse about her real self because she will never be able to become that. So the "she" is the dream girl, and "i" is the real girl. PM/Review if you still don't understand. :)

Drowning In Dreams

One we are
In two we part
We are me
She and I

She

Is

Beautiful

Hunting the galaxies up above
Reaching for impossible stars
Angel of the sky
Savior of the earth

Perfection cannot claim she
Because she is too perfect
Only in the most
Imperfect of ways

She

Is

Everything

What you want she knows
She is your whatever
Here for her
There for them

Enlightens your crying eyes
Kings born from earthen sinners
With her laugh
Doused in grace

She

Is

Free

No hesitation of heartfelt desire
Dancing past the towering fences
Of protection
Of fact

Mends the pit without the fall
Smoothes the grain from the road ahead
Nothing lurks
Dangers destroyed

I

Am

Nothing

Enabler of angelic dreams
Disappearing from jealousy
A small glow
Burning out

Haunted by my own boundaries
Locked outside the gates of reality
No key
Too many thoughts

I

Am

Drowning

I built these evil walls of wishes
Blinded by empty hope, the exit I hid
It was I
I am the blame

Slipped off the edge of existence
Drowning in the well of fantasy
Chained under
Losing grip

I

Am

Dying

Wild are the weeds of tragic want
Stolen energy excites the growth
Spent am I
On the unachievable

There is nothing left to give
When all my time is taken
I give
She takes

She

Is

Flying

I

Am

Falling

I

Am

She

She

Is

I

We are one.
