I could feel the tears slipping and my heart breaking right as he said the words "I'm breaking up with you." My face fell; I thought he loved me to pieces. My actions were enough to tell him I was upset. I pushed him into the wall right behind him as tears ran down my face. "I efffing hate you too!" I screamed at the top of my voice. He told me something I've rarely heard...that I was ugly. I...was shocked. I ran away crying to my best friend since Kindergarten. I ran into her arms. She knew exactly what happened when she saw my face. "He said it, didn't he?" she said. I couldn't talk, so I just nodded. We didn't exchange anymore words after that. She just let me cry and stroked my hair waiting for me to stop. I finally stopped and looked at her face. "You're the most amazing friend. I love you," is what I said. She smiled and replied, "I love you too. Thanks. You're amazing too. You ready to tell me what happened?" I sat there on her front porch explaining everything that happened. She goes, "Okay, so first of all, he just lost the best girlfriend of his life. Second of all, you are a beautiful girl. And I'm not just saying that because I'm your best friend." I laughed. She continued, "You did a mighty fine job pushing him into that wall. I still have to kick his a.." She didn't say it, but we both bursted into laughter. She went on again, "That boy is an effing stupid jerk if he really said that and broke up with you. Why do the cute ones have to be the d-bags?" I smiled weakly. So that's how it feels to be heart broken...
