So this is something I wrote about our three favorite mages in Gorrum. If you happen to be someone who found this and doesn't know what Gorrum is, it's a story that me and some friends from my neighborhood came up with.
Disclaimer: There are several characters in this story that I do not own. Xanathar belongs to Kurtis, Jax to Jared, Coal to Daniel, and Elma to Elizabeth
"Listen Coal, you cannot let anger get the best of you."
The halfling stared at the ground in shame as the two found shelter in the forest.
"Don't be sad," she laughed. "Anger can get the best of anyone. Just try harder to keep your emotions from getting the best of you. That way you can think clearly and use your abilities to the fullest. You have to think your actions through if they are to be used right."
Coal nodded.
"Thanks Allenore. Your advice really helps."
She held out a hand to help him to his feet.
"So, where do you think that fire mage went to?"
The swordsman shrugged.
"I don't really- Allenore, behind you!"
"Wha?"
Allenore ducked just in time to avoid a fireball aimed directly at her face.
"That was close!" Coal commented. "That almost hit you. Thank goodness your..."
"My hair! You are so going down! You are dead where you stand!"
Then again, you didn't really need to think when you had a lot of magic to throw randomly at the enemy.
"You want to form a truce?"
Allenore nodded.
"We have a common enemy," she explained. "If we work together, and set aside our prejudices, then we could put our abilities to better use."
Xan raised a disbelieving eyebrow.
"You expect me to work with a stuck up twinkler who does nothing but insult me?" he questioned.
The light mage smiled sheepishly.
"Actually, that's where I was hoping to start. If you stop calling me a twinkler, then I'll stop referring to you as a shade."
Xan gave a smile and nodded.
"Understood. I'll stop calling you a twinkler."
"Thank you."
"So, Prissy Princess, what else did you have in mind for this truce?"
That look on her face never got old.
"Why did you save me?" Elma asked. "I thought you wanted us dead."
Jax glanced at her.
"That was before," he explained. "I'm sorry I tried to kill you. I thought you had kidnapped my cousin. I only hope that I can earn your forgiveness."
Elma smiled and giggled.
"Well, you are on our side now," she reasoned. "I guess I can forget about that, especially after you saved us all."
He nodded.
"Remere said that we need all the help we are able to get if we are to defeat the true enemy. That makes us allies, and I protect my allies with my- An archer!"
He pulled Elma in front of him.
"Are you using me as a SHIELD?"
It was gonna take a while before Jax would be able to resist his assassin instincts.
