Winter's wind falling
O'er softly-sealed and frozen pond
Resting underneath a willow
Bent by weight of crushing snow
Laid, I, looking out upon
The distant mountains further on
Filling my canteen, I sighed
And blocked the sunlight from my eyes
But not before it left a smile-
One last kiss- its only trial
Following my heart, I leapt
And thanked the willow- lo!- it wept
