There's got to be a poem I could
Write for you
That could be my redemption
Shout out words that
Rhyme with your name
Until I have your attention.
So I can tell you I'm sorry
And I never meant to
Start playing these stupid games with you
My heart wasn't ready
To love you this much
But I do.
I'm much too young to act so old
I'm always trying to grow up
But every time I try I break your heart.
So I'll learn to live with my naivety,
Come to terms with that I am still just a child,
Understand that the journey
My life takes has yet to start
I don't know all that I act like I know
But I swear on everything
That I know that I love you
And I will try until I die if I have to
To write a poem that can prove all that to you.
