What I Didn't See
I walked into the examination room to find Lawrence examining the body, much to my dismay. He had really been on my nerves ever since the last case; Jeremy was less infuriating than this, and he was annoying.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him, albeit a little rude. He gave me a look.
"What?" he asked, trying to act innocent. "I can be in here and examine." I almost laughed.
"Okay. So, what did you find?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood. He sighed.
"Nothing. I know nothing new. Just that the gun to the bullet wasn't that far away from the scene," he said, a little distracted. That was nothing new? And what about…
"Hey everyone!" Jeremy said, entering the room. "Your lives just got better." I rolled my eyes. Lawrence giggled in a guy sort of way. Giggled. What was with him lately?
"You're late," I stated.
"Sorry, my alarm went off late," he said, washing his hands. I went to speak but Lawrence cut me off.
"It's not a problem," he said, smiling. "Now help me examine him." I could hit Lawrence right now if it wouldn't get me fired. If I was a minute late I would have been suspended. Jeremy smiled apologetically then went to work. I walked over but Lawrence put his hand out.
"You aren't needed here," he said, a little frustrated. I felt a little taken back. He was always trying to get me in the examination room. And from the look he was giving, Jeremy was shocked as well.
"Whatever," I said, walking out of the room.
"Hey." I turned around to see Jeremy right behind me. "I'll get information for you if you want. I won't tell him anything if you want." I nodded and he turned and walked back. It seemed strange yet I trusted that he wouldn't let Lawrence get involved.

I walked down Main Street towards the Starbucks, worry in my head. I kept on thinking about every outcome that would happen with those two in the lab. I had always been weary of the thought of Lawrence in the lab; I would only ask him to be in there when I had too much on my plate. And even then it was a last resort. Now I wanted to be in the lab and he was in there alone with a new kids. I shivered at the thought; it made my blood run colder than the icy New York Fall breeze that blew by. I walked into the Starbucks and ordered my coffee and nearly left when I saw something that caught my eye.

(Jeremy)
He stood in the lab with Lawrence examining the body. It made him frustrated. Lawrence was completely clueless when it came to this. Jeremy had already found out that this couldn't be a suicide but it didn't seem like a murder. Lawrence couldn't even see that. All he saw was that Jeremy wore very stylish shoes.
"Where did you get them?"
Jeremy looked up from the body and gave Lawrence a look.
"The shoes," said Lawrence. "Where did you get them?" Jeremy shrugged then went back to work. "Cause, I would love a pair of those…." Lawrence's voice faded out then leaned into Jeremy. Jeremy jumped, spilling a bottle of acid all over the patient. Jeremy's and Lawrence's eyes both widened. They looked at each other then back at the dead, acid covered body.
"I'm suggesting that we go and pretend it was someone else's fault," suggested Jeremy.
"Agreed," Lawrence said, both of them walking out of the room quickly.
Sorry I updated soooo late! I honestly thought I would have finished this with earlier but I didn't. I was going to update a lot since exams were over but I didn't and school starts tomorrow. Ugh…..I'm so sorry! I'm updating A Change Up soon though!
