Gallows await, sinful gallows
A judgment preceding a trial
A harsh human judgment and God,
My God disagrees.
My vaporous God who I've never believed in
Knows more than your pretentious ropes.
Though I cannot name Him, He's my friend.
As you proclaim that He will hate us for
Our sins and not repenting
We will hang on your atheist gallows
Our necks will snap as you'd hoped
To prove that God does not reject
Those things which don't embrace Him
And embraces them most when they are lost
In sin.
