Here's chapter 2! It's not really long sorry. My next one however will last a bit longer hopefully!

Being saved, AGAIN!
My beanie was already soaking wet and so was me. My sleeve shirt didn't help much since you can see-through already. I was muttering about the stupid life I have when a cough came from behind. I looked back and saw a man on the floor coughing and clutching his chest.
"Oh my gosh!"
I ran to the elder man, and helped him up.
Oh boy, as soon as I did that I knew how WRONG I was. He punched my stomach which made ma staggered back and he pushed me against the trunk of the tree before I could regain my balance. When he came to pull me back, I kicked him with my uninjured foot which sent him flying back and I ran as fast as I could.
I could see a turn ahead with some bushes and trees. I quickly ran faster so they won't know which way I headed and hid behind the bushes, while my head rested against the trunk. I tried to control my hard breathing as the man before headed my way only to stop a few feet away. I now realised that he was the same man who held the gun before, only dressed differently.
He started to walk closer and closer, while I inched back and back until a hand covered my mouth. I faced my attacker only to see the guy who helped me before, and sighed in relief.
"Shhh," he whispered and I nodded.
As the man came closer and closer, I inched back and soon enough I was leaning on the guy.
"Don't move, he'll see movement," he said quietly and I stopped immediately. I felt blood trickling down on the side of my head from before.
The man was now in front of us, he was about to come closer when a voice called out to him.
"Boss! Over here! Let's head back! Sir wants to talk with you are her,"
I stiffened when he said 'her'. I didn't need someone to tell me, I knew they were referring to me, but why me of all people?
Soon enough, the men retreated and the guy who I was leaning against let out a sigh of relief. No kidding, even I'm more freaked out myself.
"That was a close one," he said.
I spun around to him and raised an eyebrow.
"What are you still doing here? I thought you ran away?" I said
He scoffed, "And leave a girl all out by herself knowing there's danger?"
He's got a point.
"You didn't answer my question," I said
He shrugged, "Saving you AGAIN,"
"I mean, WHY are you still here?"
"I thought I'd follow you since you don't know your way around here and in case THEY come again,"
He was silent for a bit when I finally spoke up.
"Thank-you," I said.
He looked shock at my sudden change of subject, and I had to hide a smile. Seeing him shocked, it was just amusing.
"Uh...it's okay," he said rubbing the back of his neck.
It was still raining and looks like there is gonna be a storm.
I got up using the trunk for support.
What the hell, I thought, I was feeling dizzy. I placed a hand on my head and where I was pushed at before. I winced.
The guy was already up and behind me.
"Hey, you okay?" he asked
"Yeah, I'm fine," I said, and took a step forward. The world spun and I stagger back. And when I thought I might fall, his warm strong arms caught me nicely before I could even get hurt. One hand was behind my back, and the other was snaked around my waist steadying me. Heat was creeping up my face.
"Let go off me!" I hissed.
He totally ignored me and LAUGHED! That jerk laughed! At me! Urgh! Though, surprisingly it felt good, I liked his laugh it was deep and warm.
Did I really think that?
"You should really watch what you do because I seem to keep saving you," he said clearly amused.
"Get off," I growled and pushed him only to lose both our balances.
He landed with a thud on the ground followed by me on top of him.
My eyes widen in shock and he just laughed AGAIN!
"Aww, you must really love me huh?" He chuckled
"As if I would ever love you!" I said trying to get off him
"You know you do. Many girls would kill to be in your position right now," he said and laughed at my attempt to get off him and clearly not letting me go easily.
"Oh yeah? Well, I'm different okay?" I said trying to desperately get off him but instead, with a swift movement, he was on top of me.
I groaned.
"Oh great!" I muttered, "Now it's hard to get you off! Just lovely. Yup. Just. Lovely."
