Web of Lies- by Shauni Cooper
.
.
Oh little spider
Atop your delicate, elaborate web
Please tell me wall crawler
What thoughts are in your head?
.
How do you manage, small creature
To trap so many bugs?
I was one; a butterfly
Caught in your deceitful hug
.
Tempting trickles of morning dew
Compliment your look
Like a moth to the flame
In your venomous kiss I was hooked
.
Another insect
Got trapped in your web one day
Your bite was so swift
You made her your new prey
.
I was tied up, I admit
In your ravenous, unsatisfied trick
But I escaped from your deadly grasp
I learned my lesson quick
.
Oh little spider
Atop your delicate, elaborate web
Your web of lies has been unraveled
And I no longer hang by a thread
.

Author's Note: Hi! Ironically, I hate spiders; they give me the creeps. :D Anyways I hope that people understand what this is about, because I really want to know if I portrayed the idea well. So if you could help by leaving a review, that would be great! As always, keep writing people! :)
