A/N: This is just a poem that kind of just came into my head when I was reading a book about 9/11. It's actually based on war but it was inspired by Eric Walters 'We All Fall Down.' And I'm not very good a tittles, my apologies. Enjoy!
A thought of war
Blood overpowers reason.
Honesty mistaken for treason.
Power is stronger than love.
No peace is found in a dove.
What has this world become?
Full of hate and war.
What has this world become?
Where everyone is keeping score.
One by one the soldiers fell.
And left but only a story to tell.
Ashes where you play and walk.
The games we play are soldiers we mock.
Death appears on the field.
Comes to claim their lives.
None of them would dare yield.
Almost none of them survives.
What is there to gain?
Money, power, fame?
All I see is death and pain.
You treat their lives like a simple game.
What has this world become?
Full of hate and war.
What has this world become?
Where everyone is keeping score.
