1She took her hand off of the door knob and looked into the living room at her little sister who was just sitting there on the couch laughing at something on the TV which was probably really dumb and most likely wouldn't make her laugh.
It took a lot to make her laugh, unlike her little sister.
Her mother drew a face on a banana once and showed it to her sister and she fell out of her seat laughing, but Samantha, being terribly afraid from bananas, just ran out of the room.
Samantha shook that creepy memory away and put her hand back on the door knob with a sigh.
It wasn't going to be a banana at the door... that would be crazy!
...Right?
She turned the door knob again, her eyes closed this time, and finally opened the door this time.
She opened her eyes and looked at the familiar person standing in front of her and let out a relieved sigh.
"What?" her mother asked.
Samantha looked at her. "Umm, you didn't call."
Her mother nodded and walked in.
Bella ran to her and hugger her leg.
"Mommy!" she cried and hugged her mother's leg tighter.
Samantha rolled her eyes and went back into the living room.
"I'm taking Bella," her mother told her and left.
Samantha nodded and her mother left.
When the door closed she groaned.
"As usual... no 'I love you,' just... 'I'm taking Bella!'," she checked her phone again.
ONE MISSED CALL, it said.
She clicked on it and it said UNKNOWN.
She sighed. "Huh..."
Turning off the TV, she got up and checked the door.
She looked outside with her head and pulled it back in, closing the door and locking it.
Why didn't Mary and Amanda come by yet? she thought to herself.
Sighing, she went back into the living room and turned on the TV again.
She sort of just stared at the screen without really watching.
She had a strange feeling like she knew something weird was going to happen.
That's why she just locked the door.
She didn't know exactly why she did it, but she just had a bad feeling.
Something inside of her just knew that something was up... something odd was going to happen.
First, her friends didn't come when they were going to and then... her mom showed up without calling which everyone in her family did before they came home... something weird was going to happen next.
