Here With You
Chapter 1:
By ITSVKEE
"Dude! What's so bad about her anyway?" I asked looking at the girl across the cafeteria.
"You don't wanna know." Blake laughed as he hunched over his lunch tray.
"She looks pretty normal."
"All that glistens is not gold my friend," a male voice said from behind me "You already hitting on her huh?" he said as he slapped my shoulder.
"What? No." I said honestly. I only wanted to know her. She didn't seem that bad. I wondered what she had done to make all the guys hate her.
"Sure sure Aaron." The boy next to me laughed. How had he remembered my name and I not his? Oh that's right. I'm the new kid around here. It was funny. I forgot all about it- I could tell these guys would be some pretty good friends of mine. I stopped and turned around to get one last glance at the mysterious girl, but she was gone.
I sighed and turned around to eat my lunch.
"So anyway, where you from Aaron?" Blake asked after taking a colossal bite from what looked like a sandwich?
"I'm from Chicago," I laughed.
"Dude. You're from Chicago? Why the long move?" Blake laughed.
"I dunno? Ask the rents." I laughed as I shook my head.
"Whatever." Blake said taking another enormous bite.
"Is this school always so..." I frowned trying to gather words.
"Weird? Crowded? Gay?" Blake suggested.
"Yeah." I laughed as I scoped the rest of the cafeteria.
"Pretty much, yeah. Come on! You're in California baby." Blake laughed.
"So you got any sisters?" the boy I couldn't remember his name asked me.
"Why? So you can hit on them?"
"Nah, just asking." he blushed.
"I have a sister, she's..." I said as I turned around to point her out. I was too late it seemed, because she had already found me. She towered over me as I stared at her wide eyed. "She's right here," I muttered.
"Aaron, I gotta talk to you," she smiled. "Please excuse us." she latched onto my arm and practically dragged me out of my seat. Sisters.
She ruffled her bleach blonde hair and pulled me aside. She wasn't older than me nor was she in a younger grade. She was my twin. Yes I said twin. Stella and I were twins. I stared at her and sighed. I was hungry and I could feel the stares from my friends gawking after my flawless sister. I knew I would cop it later.
"Aaron you know I love you right." she smiled. I rolled my eyes knowing that this conversation would be me helping her with some stupid boy she wanted to date.
"Go on." I sighed
"Well okay there's this really cute guy I saw sitting at your table. Maybe you could- you know. Talk to him for me?" she grinned.
I sighed and scratched the back of my head. Was it worth wasting my time when I knew they were all drooling over her anyway? Was it worth risking everyone's lives?
"I saw you staring at that girl before, I could totally hook you up." she winked.
"What? I was not staring at her!" I hissed.
"Come on, I saw it. Don't deny it." She grinned knowing she had cracked me.
"I was curious that's all," I said defensively "The guys don't like her and I wanted to know why. Maybe you can tell me."
"Don't you listen?" she smirked "She was going out with the brown haired boy you were sitting next to," Blake. "Then while she was going out with him she kinda did some stuff with that boy over there." she said point at another boy sitting at the table next to hers.
"Who is she? And that other boy is Ralph."
"That's Cherry, she's in my commerce. And Ralph isn't very nice from what I've heard," Stella rolled her eyes "But don't waste your time, she really isn't very nice either."
"I see," I nodded "So you want me to hook you and Blake up?" I frowned.
"Yeah,"
"But that's Charlie's ex boyfriend."
"So? And it's Cherry."
"No way. Forget it." I smirked as I turned to leave.
"Aaron. I will tell everyone what you did. And I mean everything." she warned. Somehow her voice was the most pronounced voice that entered my ear. It was as if she had purposely exaggerated the 'everyone' and 'everything'.
"You can't do that." I glared at her with all I had.
"Try stopping me." she said coldly as she turned to leave.
"Stella," I sighed before she got too far away. I hated it when she blackmailed me. She always used it against me and I always fell for it. Clearly she was never going to give up or even remotely let it go. "Fine, come with me."
"Aaron you're the best." she grinned.
I walked back to my table with Stella at my flanks and sat down. Blake looked at me and smiled as I sat down.
"Blake, this is my sister, Stella. Stel this is Blake and... Fuck I totally forgot your name." I laughed
"It's Kieran." he laughed.
"Way to go moron." Blake laughed punching my shoulder.
"Hey." Kieran smiled at Stella as he scooted over to give her some room.
"Hey," she smiled. "Aaron move over."
I slid closer to Kieran as she wedged herself between Blake and me. All of a sudden I wasn't so hungry anymore. All of a sudden I wanted to attack everyone in this room. I had to run. Run away from everyone before someone got hurt.
"I'll be back." I muttered as I shot up and scraped the chair noisily against the cafeteria floor. I stormed out not really caring if anyone saw my outburst.
"What's up with him?" I heard Kieran ask.
I didn't want to know what the answer was because I already knew what was up with me.
I walked to my locker; keys ready in hand letting them dangle from my middle finger. I had almost reached the exit before a small voice echoed from behind me
"Going so soon?"
I turned around to find the Cherry leaning against the bubbler wall. Why was she talking to me? After all I sat with her ex boyfriend. I mean, what kind of a girl was she? From the sounds of what Stella had said, I don't think I want to be her friend anymore.
"Why do you care?" I smirked.
"I see Blake got to you huh?' she smirked.
"And again, why do you care?" I said turning to walk away. I was being a jerk and I knew it, but I just wasn't in the mood to be Prince Charming today.
After all, it was my first day at school; I had the right to get "lost" didn't I? Teachers wouldn't care if I ditched a bit then told them I got lost around this magnificent school. Notice the sarcasm in my voice.
I walked down the steps and searched for my beloved car. I spotted it and unlocked it instantly. My father bought it for me for my 16th birthday. And for Stella you ask? Well she got the car right next to me. We both liked to drive fast, however my car was nicer than hers. Leather interior, sun roof, and all those fancy things I liked. Stella liked fast, but she liked flashy. She wanted a Volkswagen Beetle so dad bought her one. She got sick of it a week later, so he bought her another car. I found that unfair so I asked dad to buy me a motorcycle. My parents weren't happy with me wanting a bike, but I wanted one anyway. I knew it was stupid asking for a bike, and I knew I would never use it, so I told dad not to bother. I had my baby. My pride and joy; My Lexus IS 're probably thinking I'm a stuck up dick that gets what he wants. Sure I might get what I want, but in reason. I wanted to buy a yacht. Yeah that didn't go so well. My parents didn't talk to me for days. Come on, what was so bad about a yacht?
I was so lost in my thoughts I hadn't heard the ringing in my pocket; funny though I felt the vibration. I took out my phone and flipped it open without even bothering to check caller ID.
"Hello?"
"Hey baby," smiled a voice.
"Rach?" I frowned
"Who else silly? I was just calling to see how you were that's all."
"I've seen better days that's for sure. Where are you?" I asked as I pulled my keys out of the ignition.
"I'm at home." she chuckled.
"Lucky you." I said rolling my eyes.
"Visit me won't you? I'm so lonely." she said softly.
"I wish I could baby," I smiled as I walked back into school grounds. Lunch hadn't ended yet. Lucky me. "You're so far away."
"Yeah- but you could always come visit me. Or I could visit you." she suggested.
"Rach, come on. Don't be like that." I groaned as I paced outside my locker. "Stel's already giving me a hard time. It's my first day and I just got here."
"I know, but you'll come and visit me when you've got time won't you?" she said grinned from the tone of her voice.
"Of course," I smiled. "Anything for you."
"Awesome. Hey, you're in a lunch-break right?" she asked quickly
"Mmhm."
"Great, so I can call you tomorrow as much as I like right?"
"Hmm. I dunno." I mused knowing that she could call whenever, wherever and I would still pick up.
"Oh please! I know you'd pick up your phone if I called whenever and wherever!" she laughed. Dang. She knew me too well.
"Sure babe, sure," I grinned. "As if!"
"Girlfriend?" Someone said behind me.
"Hold on babe," I smiled I turned around to find Cherry standing behind me. My smiled faded and I sighed as I walked away from her. "You were saying babe?"
"Who was it?" she asked
"Some girl," I smirked "But she's no you," I walked down the corridor back to the cafeteria
"I love you Aaron," Rach giggled
"I love you too Rach," I smiled as I pushed open the cafeteria door. "It might get noisy. I'm in the caff."
"It's okay. I should probably go. Remember you need to eat okay?" Rach smiled.
"You're leaving?" I asked
"Well you need to spend..." I zoned out barely listening to what she was saying about spending time with my friends.
"Don't go," I said softly.
"I won't, but promise me you'll be nice to people. I'll check up on you." she giggled.
"Puh-lease. I'm everything beyond nice." I grinned as I sat down at the table with Kieran and Blake.
"Sure Aaron, sure."
"Aren't you supposed to be at school?" I asked
"Aaron. You moved during break," she said bluntly.
"Oh, yeah," I said feeling the guilt rise up my throat "I'm sorry. I just needed to get away from it all. Listen, I'll call you later okay?"
"Okay," she sighed "Be careful. I love you so much,"
"I will. I love you too. Take care of yourself, even if I can't be there," I smiled "Bye baby."
"Bye," she smiled as she hung up.
I listened to the dial tone for a few seconds before closing my phone.
"Girlfriend?" Blake asked raising his eyebrow.
"Yeah." I grinned
"Is she hot?" Kieran laughed. I so wanted to punch him in the face.
"Dude." Blake stepped in for me.
"Sorry." Kieran retreated and held up his hands.
"S'okay," I muttered. "Say, where's Stel?"
"She said she'd come back. She never did." Blake shrugged.
"Uh-huh," I frowned "Where could she be?"
"Hey Aaron," Stel smiled behind me making me jump "Rach dearest told me to check on you,"
"Yeah, I know."
"So the girlfriend has a name," Blake grinned.
"Uh yeah." I blushed.
Blake patted my back and smiled. I nodded and sighed.
"Miss her?" Blake asked
"You have no freaking idea." I sighed burying my face in my palms. Anger rushed through my mind. I wanted it to leave. I had to let it out. The only thing I couldn't understand was why I was so angry.
"Aaron." Stella snapped.
"What?"
"Stop it." She warned.
Blake gave her a weird look. I shook my head at her with my mouth slightly open; she would so get it when we got home. She grinned at me then sat back down next to Blake and me as if we had never left.
"You okay dude?" Blake asked
"Yeah I'm fine," I lied. My face unreadable- expressionless; hiding the truth behind my past, present and future. "Just tired that's all."
"Yeah, moving from Chicago is hard work. Glad you did though. Today's been fun," he grinned then shifted his eyes to Stel who was staring aimlessly out the window. There were 3 people who knew our secret and there was no way I was letting anyone in. Not a chance in hell.
