Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock-Tick-
Mia lifts her head to gaze at the plain clock ticking away. Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock. Half way into the lesson, I can believe he's skipping this. Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock. Mia sighs heavily and drops her head downwards, staring at her half-complete math test. Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock. He's the worst. Missing a test like this! Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock. She glances around the room; heads down and scribbles of pens scratching onto the paper. Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock. Mia flashes her eyes back to her paper. Right then, 4x+3x-

Elliot sits on a bench outside, the soft breeze blows carelessly. His head hung back, eyes closed, bag next to him. He's living the dream.
!RING-RING-RING!
'I'm awake! I'm awake!' Elliot panics, he then hangs his head forward. Oh, period two is fiiinnallly over; Mia must be on her way now. Elliot smiles slightly, groups of people rush outside to enjoy break.
Suddenly, a girl, wearing a blue skirt and a blue blazer, comes storming up towards the boy who drools though two hours of lessons, her hair frizzles up in a flame and blood trickles down her clenched fists.
'Where were you Elliot?! You idiot! You missed another test!' the girl yells clenching her teeth together and a spray of spit covers him.
Elliot smiles at her, ignoring her bitterness and rubs his face with his sleeve to get the spit off him. 'As for your first question;' he charms 'I'm right here, and for second; I'm not an idiot.'
'That wasn't even a question!' she moans sending another spray of spit to his face, she sits down next to him on the bench and takes deep breaths. 'Why do you always do this Elliot?'
'Heheh, about that. . . ' He giggles itching the back of his head and then scrubs his face with his sleeve again, 'Are busy on the sixteenth of May?' he asks more seriously, then his I-don't-care-let-me-sleep-till-lunch attitude. Remembering, Elliot also whips the drool off his face.
'No,' Mia murmurs, 'why?' she asks glancing at Elliot with her eye. He smiles, and looks at her face.
'I've been challenged.' He turns his body and reaches for his bag.
'''Challenged''?' echoes Mia, as Elliot ruffles through his bag. Eventually he draws out a piece of crinkled paper, Mia notices' that it's written in red ink. 'Are you even sure that's ink?'
Elliot nods, 'It's actually ink, anyway, I was thinking if you were interested, you could come to this 'Parkerson Castle' with me? Surely, I should be able to bring someone along.'
Mia's face glows a very interesting shade of pink. 'L-l-like a-a date?' she whispers glaring at the floor.
At that very moment, a girl from the year above swishes past, with her skirt at a very interesting height. Elliot makes googly eyes at her butt, as if there was no tomorrow. His jaw drops as if he was in a trance. Drool dribbles down his chin.
'Elliot!' winces Mia, 'If you even dare, I will personally kill you!' she spits, clutching onto her, now, re-bleeding fits.
Elliot jolts up and covers his face with his hands then he takes a deep breath, 'I didn't see a thing! I'm begging you Mia! I didn't see anything!' he takes another deep breath and peeks through the gaps of his fingers, 'So do you wanna go to this creepy castle or what?!'
Mia brings her hand to her chin and thought for a few seconds, 'I'll ask my ma and pa if I can, call me tonight at six and I'll let you know.' Mia checks the time on her watch. 'Science is next, you coming? '
Elliot sighs, 'Should I?'
'If you want me to come to your challenge thing, you better not miss this test. ' she gives a light smile and waits for Elliot to get himself together.
'Fiiiiiiinnnne.' He sighs, grabbing onto his bag and following her into class.
Sometime near 18:00.
Elliot actually decides to make his bed and he glances at his little red and black alarm clock that Mia had gotten him because he kept on being late for school every other day. It's nearly six! Gotta call Mia! He dives onto the floor to look for his mobile phone, 'Ah ha! Found you!' Elliot grabs his phone from the floor and dials some numbers. 0744 . . .462 . . 04.
He puts his face to the speaker. 'Heeellllooooo? Miiiiaaaa!? Aaarreee yooouuu thheerree?'
'Yeessss IIIIII aaammm!' she hisses back like a snake.
'What did your Mum and Dad say then?' he asks crossing his fingers.
Mia pauses and Elliot senses that she's smiling. 'They said yes!' she blurts out laughing.
'Yes! Yes! Yes! Ye-' dances Elliot on the over side of the phone.
'But!' cuts in Mia, silencing Elliot's party on the other side of her mobile. 'Under one condition!'
'And what's that?' suspiciously asks Elliot, putting away the balloons.
Mia gives a little sigh, 'That you never leave me alone in a big and scary castle, and you must not miss one lesson until we go!'
Elliot pulls a frown. 'Do I have to?''
'YES!' snaps Mia.
Elliot hangs his head forward, 'Orrrrhhhh.' He sighs, 'And plus, that's two conditions!'
