Nature
Sun that shines and warms the land,
The sky a calming blue,
Birds that sing and nest in trees,
Grass flecked with drops of dew.
A wind that is gentle and whispers your name,
A brook that can babble and twist,
A world that is separate, grown wild and free,
And shrouded in curling white mist.
Flowers that vary in shape and in size,
From purple to pink and to white,
Leaves that rustle and sway in the breeze,
Shadows pushed back by the light.
The sun and the moon, the sea and the sky,
Linked and can't be undone,
Nature is mother, the bringer of life,
Beautiful and deadly as one.
