2"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked her, as they stood on the edge of the woods, about to run into them.
"Yes." She told him confidently.
Before we get into that, let's rewind a few hours, to where it all began.
A Few Hours Ago…
"I don't want you seeing him." Her father said.
"Come on dad, I love him and he loves me. Why can't we be together?" She asked, ready to get on her knees and beg.
"No Sara! I forbid you to see him. He's using you! I know boys like him, he doesn't love you!" Sara's father exclaimed, pounding his fist on the table. Sara ran out of the room and up to her room.
She grabbed a bag from her closet and began shoving clothes in it before calling her boyfriend.
"Hello?" He asked, sounding a bit upset.
"Are you alright?" She asked him, her full attention on him.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He said, after a moment of silence he spoke again, "Actually I'm not. I told my parents about us, and they're forbidding me to date you!"
"My dad isn't letting me see you either." Sara said, a slight whimper in her voice.
"What are we going to do about that? I'm not leaving you, ever." He said.
"Let's run away." She said softly, making sure no one over heard her.
"What? Are you sure?" He asked, a bit shocked that she suggested that.
"Yeah, we're almost eighteen, we're basically adults." She told him.
"Alright. I'll meet you at the edge of the woods in a few hours." He told her.
"Alright, I'll see you then. I love you Matt." She said.
"I love you too." Matt said. They hung up and Sara began shoving clothes and small toiletries in her bag.
About an hour later, all of her things were packed. She looked out her window and saw that the sun was beginning to set. Quickly and quietly, she climbed out her window, and onto the garage roof, then climbed down the side of it. She ran off of her property and in the direction of the woods while there was still light, hoping that Matt got out fine as well.
When the sun was gone, but there was still a bit of light left, she finally reached the edge of the woods, but Matt was nowhere in sight. She sighed and was about to leave, there was a tap on her shoulder. She quickly whipped around, and saw her boyfriend.
"I thought your parents caught you or something." She told him, throwing her arms around his tall frame.
"I was thinking the same thing." He whispered into her ear, holding her close.
After a few moments of them holding each other, he finally let her go.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked her, as they stood on the edge of the woods, about to run into them.
"Yes." She told him confidently.
"Alright, I have my car parked about a minute away, from here we can go to my old house, nobody lives there, or knows where it is except me. So we can go there until we're eighteen, then we can go wherever you want to. It'll be just you and me." He told her. She smiled and nodded, gripping the bag on her shoulder.
"What are we going to do for money until we turn eighteen?" She asked him as they began to walk to his car, hand in hand.
"I have that covered. I've been saving all of my money since I began working two years ago, so there's a good amount of money. It's in a bag in the trunk." He told her as him car came into view, although it was a bit hard to see since night had officially fallen.
"You want to use that? I mean, you must've been spending it for a specific reason, seeing that you had been saving it up for two years." She said, suddenly feeling a bit guilty.
"Don't worry about it, alright? I was saving it up for when I moved out. And I'm technically moving out right now." He told her, opening the car door for her. She laughed and got into the car.
He took her bag and put it in the trunk and got into the driver's seat.
"Are you ready?" He asked. She smiled and nodded.
He gave her a quick kiss then started up the car and began to drive.
