Pompeii

My eyes flew open. What is going on?! Oh, just another earthquake. That volcano is getting worse, it keeps rumbling! With a long sigh I got up. Today, the first of August, will be long since I had no sleep last night.

I ran outside and my heartbeat and breathing stopped. The sky was red and rocks were flying everywhere! My heart started to beat at double its normal speed but I had more things to worry about. Like the rocks covered in fire flying towards me.

The first flew past me. The second one hit my arm. I screamed as my arm flew back. I was losing consciousness. The last thing I saw was lava coming my way...
