Stars blanket the sky at night,
That which cannot be seen during the day,
Provides a wondrous delight.
Although I cannot fly a kite,
Or see what lies miles away,
I am pleasured by the night.
We can picnic with only moonlight,
Us two and food and the words we say,
The most pleasant of all delight.
As we two recover from our fight,
When I could not stand to even say "hey",
I know everything will be okay this night.
As the moon reaches its greatest height,
"Dance with me," please don't say nay,
And all I will feel is delight.
But as if it had been slew by the knight,
The moon will lay down with the fae,
As the great star removes the night,
So does pass my delight.
