Sadie always loved skateboarding, even though she had never skateboarded in her life. Now, Sadie was finally getting her first skateboard! Sadie smiled up at her dad, "Thanks for taking me to get a skateboard." He looked at her and said, "Well, your welcome...Your still set on skateboarding, I mean you already have a bicycle." He looked pleadingly at his daughter, unfortunately for him Sadie was in full rebel mode. Sadie shook her head no, she was getting a skateboard today! When they pulled into the parking lot of the sports store Sadie unbuckled her seat-belt as fast as she humanly could and jumped out of the little toyota. Sadie only looked back to see where her father was after reaching the entrance to the store. Sadie knew she was being impatient, but she was so ready to get her first skateboard!
Once her dad finally reached her, Sadie ran into the store. Sadie looked around inside and it was amazing. The celebrating was crazy high, shelves overflowed with pricey, high class, merchandise, and every one was so tan! Sadie felt a hand on her shoulder and jumped. She turned around to see her frazzled father, "Oh it's you, you scared me!" Her father smiled, "Lets find that skateboard and get out of here. Football is on right now and I'd like to at least like to see the second half." In reply Sadie sprinted to the skateboarding section, nearly running into several really tan people on the way. How tan can you be? Sadie thought.
The Skateboarding section contained to wall-high shelves on either side, both full of skateboards and skateboarding accessories. Sadie grinned, she loved being surrounded by this much skateboard stuff.
Sadie grabbed a skateboard a tried to ride it, epic fail. There were so many, but she decided that she should try an easy skateboard first. Sadie grabbed a huge board off a shelf. It was super long and had giant wheels, "This skateboard looks easy enough." she said, showing the board to her dad who had caught up. A tall skater boy next to her chuckled. "What's so funny?" Sadie pouted, she was very confused. "That's not a skateboard, it's called a longboard." the tall boy said and walked away in a lazy way. "Well sorry!" Sadie mumbled under her breath while she put up the longboard. Sadie pursed the isle looking for any thing that caught her eye. She finally found it, a skateboard with an epic picture of a sea monster on it's deck. Sadie picked up the skateboard and continued to the checkout with her father trailing close behind.
