Do you recall the days we spent

talking, talking, voices bent

on books we read and others lent

In the sun upon cut grass, or

tucked inside a room shut fast

against the troubles that harassed

With made up tales our fondness grew

for the words like birds they flew

and on the wind like leaves they blew

Then away you moved, so did I,

never a need for goodbye,

all odds our friendship will defy

I fondly saved each little note,

all the things you kindly wrote,

they helped to make my lifeboat float

Full circle we've come back again

to the place where we began,

I'm always home with Whitney Ann
