A/N: This is a little short story I guess until I get the sequel to BodyGuard together. Hope you like.

Zayne was a generally happy person. Always smiling and laughing at anything that was funny to him. He was never alone, people swarmed his way when he walked into the room. People gazed at him when he would open his mouth, desperate to listen to what he had to say. He was a nice person, helped out people who needed it, very polite, and just generally nice. His family loved him and accepted him for who he was...well his sister did. He's going to college on a baseball scholarship, his grades were on point and everything seemed wonderful. It all seemed perfect until he came back to his dorm room one night. It was way after curfew and the reason why he was late; his sister came to see him and wanted to hang for the day.

He hadn't seen her in a while since she been busy in Paris for her photography projects and all. Anyway back to the situation. When he came to the dorm room he noticed that lights were all off. It was weird because Alex always stood up to wait for him before he went to sleep. Something about he didn't like knowing his best friend out an about and anything to happen to him. He wanted to be up to make sure nothing happened. Smiling to himself he walked further into the room, the living room lights were off and so was the T.V. He made his way to there room and opened the door to be greeted with his curly haired friend sitting on the bed, packing his things.

Confused Zayne walked into the room and looked around. He noticed that the entire side of Alex's room was bare. The part of the closet he shared was bare to. "Alex what's going on?" Zayne asked as he sat down on his bed.

He didn't get an answer just a journal thrown onto his lap. He looked down and noticed that it was his blue notebook. A gasp fell from his lips as he looked at Alex, an explanation already spinning in his head.

I stood from the bed, "Lex...I can explain." Zayne started. He didn't get chance to say anything else because he was pushed back onto his bed.

"Why?" Alex asked. His blue eyes burned with anger. A scowl started to form on Zayne's face, "Tell me why your packing up all your stuff?"

"I can't live with you anymore...not when your all messed up." he growled.

"I'm not messed up Alex." I said blatantly.

He scoffed, "According to that notebook of yours...your not the person I thought you were."

Zayne couldn't believe the words that were coming out of his friends mouth. They've known each other since kindergarten. They had so many things in common, so many things they did together. They went to each others houses, they played outside. They went through elementary, middle and high school together. He helped Alex out when his parents divorced, he was there when his first girlfriend broke up with him. He couldn't even comprehend what was happening right now. He understood just a bit at how Alex would be mad because he didn't tell him that he was gay, but it was just something that he didn't want the world to know.

The only person that knew were his sister and parents. It wasn't entirely his fault though. Zayne was planning on telling Alex after he told his parents. However they did not take it kindly that the fact that he was gay. Yell's and screams could be heard down the street that day, all fussing over him and sexuality. The only person who backed him all the way was his sister Sydney. He cried the entire night after that, his sister held him until he fell asleep. He was going to tell Alex but he was so afraid of rejection that he held it off. When college came around he just never thought of telling him; it was that and the fact that he had a bit of a crush on Alex, which made his situation even worse. Zayne started to feel a bit depressed and people started to noticed that he didn't smile as easily as he used to.

A month before they were to leave for college his sister knew that something was up. Sydney told him to stop acting like a girl and suck it up. It was just like her to say something so brash, however she did give him the idea to write down his feeling's. Thus the blue notebook was born, he wrote in that book almost every day. He poured his heart out onto the lines of how he had to keep his secret well...a secret. But now everything has gone to shit, somehow Alex got a hold of his book and now he knows.

Which brings him to a very nice question, "How did you find it anyway?" Zayne asked. Alex crossed his arms over his chest before looking away.

"I was looking for the book you borrowed from me on your desk and I saw one of your journals." he said.

"And you thought it was okay to go through people's stuff?" Zayne questioned.

"I thought it was one of your stories that you never let me read, so I read it." Alex said, his eyes traveled back Zayne's and the other flinched at the anger and confusion swirling in those pretty blue eyes.

"So there it is," Zayne started, "You know now, I'm gay." he said. He watched as his curly haired turned back around to finish packing his clothes.

"-gusting." he muttered.

Zayne felt his blood boil, "Excuse me?" he hissed. Alex turned back around, "What would make you like something like that?" he asked. "What would make you have some guys dick up your ass." he went on.

Zayne felt something in his heart completely break, just shattered. This was why he didn't want to tell Alex, this was reason. He knew exactly how the other would react if something like this got out. He shook his head, his perfect life was slipping through his fingers.

"I never pegged you for someone to act like an asshole." Zayne said finally. Alex laughed, a hollowness, dark laugh.

"And I never pegged you to be a faggot." he hissed.

Frustrated tears started to form at the corner of Zayne's eyes. He really couldn't believe Alex said that, he...didn't even...know...wh-"That's why your leaving?" Zayne asked. Alex was zipping up his suitcase and was now holding it in his hands.

"I'm not going to be around you until you stop." he said.

"What? Stop being gay?" Zayne asked. "Are you going to throw away years of friendship over something like this?" he questioned.

"Until you get over your little phase." he said. Zayne shook his head, Alex sounded just like his parents.

He watched silently as Alex made his way to the door, his things in his hands. He took in a shuddering breath before meeting blue eyes, "Lex...if you walk out that door...were no longer friends." Zayne stated firmly.

Alex opened his mouth to say something but quickly turned his attention to the door.

"By Zayne."
