Chapter 2
"Sea, you don't mean that." My dad tries to explain to me.
"Wanna bet?" I hiss.
"Bob, your up." Judge Tizzy explains. Robert gets up and walks to the stand. My lawyer walks up to question him.
"Did you personally get this evidence when you were at the location of the warehouse where you saved Lydia?" My lawyer questions.
"Yes, I personally got the evidence, when I saved Lydia." Robert informs.
"And your a registered policeman?"
"Yes, I am."
"No record what so ever?"
"None." Robert lies looking over at me. I want to just jump up and say who he really is and explain everything, but I can't. I look around the court room, I can't stand to look at Robert at the moment. I see Mary. I get up and quickly go slide next to her.
"What's the update for finding Sea, Suzy and Joanna?" I ask.
"Don't you know?" Mary questions raising an eyebrow.
"No," I sigh "mom and dad don't want me to think about it anymore, so they won't tell me anything." I explain. She nods.
"Well, I got a picture of the license plate so that was a big help, then I also told the police everything you told me. They have a few places where Sea, Joanna, and Suzy could be, so that's kind of an up to that... I'm helping as best I can. I REALLY want to be a detective now. It's fun and I want to help people like Joanna and Suzy, when they found Sea." I nod, I can see Mary being a detective, and a good one too. Her and Sea could be partners!
"Mary, I'm scared. What if they never find Sea, Suzy and Joanna?" I whimper for the first time I let my feelings out.
"We'll get them back, I promise." Mary say sure. I nod. The other lawyer goes up.
"Were you the only officer to save Lydia?" He asks.
"Yes."
"Is that the normal protocol?"
"No, but I didn't want to endanger any other officers." Robert explain.
"But, by going alone, couldn't you have endangered Lydia more?"
"Yes, I guess I could have." Robert says.
"Final question, when you saved Lydia, did you actually see my clients, Ned and Phillip?"
"No, I did not actually see them."
Sea's pov (fyi I never said what she's wearing, or anybody for that matter, so I will now)
"What are you going to do with us?" I try again.
"Well... I guess for now I'll just be locking you in the basement. with a radio." James says, "We don't want you going insane on us now, also, it's punishment, you'll hear how the search for you three is going, see how hard, they're trying, only, they'll never find you." James walks over to me, towering over me. I whimper. Grabbing my wrist he starts to drag me down the stairs to the basement.
Once in the basement, James shoves me to the wall, farthest the door. I fall to my knees, my chocolate brown skirt covering my legs. I look up to see the door shut, and no Suzy or Joanna, they're putting use each alone. I frown at this and start to cry. Call me a baby if you like, but I'm 9 remember, and I SHOULDN'T BE HERE EXPERIENCING THIS! No one should... Ever... I put my face to my hands, so if James does come back in he won't actually see my face right away. I'm probably staining my white shirt.
I hear the door open, but with my teary face, I don't dare look up. Two people walk In, and over to me. I don't bother trying to get away from them. I don't even know who they are... A third person comes in. I look up to see Joanna and Suzy next to me and James walking in with a radio.
"First day of court for the Ned and Phillip trial is underway. We're being told that so far, Lydia is still defending Ned and Phillip, but will see a councilor soon to try and help her get over syncom syndrome, then maybe this case will finally have less lies involved. It looks as Ned and Phillip are guilty, but only the jury can decide. Sea, Joanna, and Suzy are still missing, any information as to where they are please contact your local police station. Now for the weather," The radio spews.
"Aw, how sweet, Lydia's sticking up for Ned and Phillip, even if it can get you three hurt." James hisses. James storms out of the room slamming the door behind him. I hear the click signaling it's locked. Joanna and Suzy are both crying staining their matching coral shirts. Their white skirts go to their mid calf's.
"So..." I start awkwardly. Joanna and Suzy look up at me, tears covering their faces. "What happen with Robert the first time?" I question, trying to change the topic and because I'm curious.
