I forgive others. I know that might not help.
It doesn't matter if you forgive, if they don't forgive themselves.
Yet I don't believe this is a useless act. The fact is, that act will leave them curious.
No longer can they seriously go down the self-destructive path.
They will have to laugh when they think of me.
Wondering if it was foolishness, wondering what I had seen.
A serious look and earnest words would slip in some doubt.
They'd have to reexamine the facts to try and figure this out.
Exposing secrets to disillusion me, when they can't see what I see.
But what I see is like the wind to them.
They can see trails, which might lead them to see where I am coming from.
The conclusion I'm jumping to, has no breeze.
So they can't see what I can see, can't see how forgiveness wears them down.
That now the path of destruction won't grant them peace.
