A/N: So, there's going to be a lot of cursing and cussing in this chapter. JUST FYI. Hehe sorry, it just makes Tristian sound more like a badass. (;

Chapter Sixteen

The next morning, I awoke to a cold bed. The space that Jamie had occupied last night was cold and surprisingly I didn't feel a sense of loneliness. Rolling out of bed, I peaked outside the shades, as I saw the sun shine brightly on the waves crashing along the shore of the beach.

Sighing, I got out underneath the warm bed sheets, and made my way towards the bathroom at the end of the hall. As I walked towards the bathroom, I heard disgruntled groans as the door swung open, revealing a hung over Tristian. Even though he looked like he had a rough night, he still looked pretty freaking hot.

Remembering that I was upset at him, I smirked. Pay back time bitch. "Rough night?" I taunted, as he shot me a glare.

"You know I like it rough," he shot back, as I felt a tinge of jealousy in the pit of my stomach. Satisfied with my reaction, I rolled my eyes. I refused to cry over this idiot.

"That's disgusting," I responded, wrinkling my nose. He was just so…barbaric.

"Sure, whatever." He threw over his shoulder, as he retreated back to his bedroom, his back muscles flexing. "Take a picture, it'll last longer sweetheart."

I flushed, as I quickly ran into the bathroom, making an effort to slam the door extra hard. I heard his low chuckle, as I faced the mirror, pushing away the stray strands of hair, falling into my face. Why did he have such an effect on me?

I didn't like it. I didn't like it one bit. That boy was going to be the death of me. Realizing that tonight I had a date with Jamie, I was somewhat excited. It's been a while since we went out, and I hoped that he had something special planned for me.

Quickly running through my morning routine, I went into my room to pull on a hoodie that I found lying on the ground. It smelt distinct, and familiar but it was a bit too early to distinguish who's hoodie it was. Shrugging it on, I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen, where Aunt Cathy's and my mother's waffles scent, wafted throughout the confines of the kitchen.

"Morning sweetheart!" Aunt Cathy cheerful spoke, as she handed me a full plate. Shooting her a thankful smile, I sat down at the counter and began to chow down.

"When did you guys get home last night?"

She waved her hand dismissively, "early enough to hear those damn women in Tristian's room." I saw her slightly wince, as she resumed cooking.

I quickly coughed, as Tristian came striding into the kitchen. "What was that mother? I heard my name."

Aunt Cathy lightly slapped him on the chest, as he grinned. Pouring a cup of orange juice, he faced back my way. "Tristian, you know I disapprove of those girls, you bring home."

Tristian rolled his eyes, as he drank his orange juice. I eyed him carefully; man he even made a simple task such as drinking look hot. What was wrong with me today? Why couldn't I stop thinking about how hot he was?

Grinning, he shot me a wink. "Thanks sweetheart, I know I'm pretty hot." He drawled, as I flushed once again. Did I really say that out loud?

"Tristian! Give the poor girl a break." His mother scolded lightly.

"Sorry mom, I guess I have to thank you for my wonderful genetics because you created such a hot son."

"and conceited also," his mother grumbled lightly, as I giggled.

"Well, when you look this good…how can you not show it off?" I suppressed a smile, as I dug into my waffles. Moaning in delight as the flavors hit my taste buds full on.

I saw a flash of lust cross Tristian's eyes, but they were quickly gone. He smirked, as he set his cup down on the counter. "Jamie's lonely by the way."

"Why don't you go entertain him?" I shot back as I motioned to my waffles. "I'm busy here."

"Sorry, I don't' swing that way." With the last words, he quickly rushed back into the living room as I glared at the space he once occupied.

"You alright sweetheart?" Aunt Cathy came over, as she dried her hands on a dishrag.

"Fine," I mumbled. "Why?"

"You and Tristian both seem a bit off today…" She pondered before looking up at me. "So, this Jamie boy, do I get to meet him? Will you properly introduce me?"

I smiled lightly, "yeah. Do you want to meet him now?"

"That would be nice." I stood up walking over the living room. As soon as I spotted Jamie, I stood in front blocking his view of the television.

"Hey babe," he shot me a dazzling smile, "what are you doing?"

"Tristian's mom wants to meet you." He gave me a confused glance.

"Uh, sure?"

Before I could respond, he pulled me onto his lap where I sat giggling. I heard a grunt from the leather chair to the left of the living room, where I found Tristian sprawled, while texting. "Who's sweater is that?" He asked, motioning to my navy hoodie with a picture of a golden bear on it.

"Isn't it yours?" I asked, looking down at it. Man oh man, was that sweater comfortable. I heard a laugh from the leather chair, as I glanced over at Tristian. His eyes adverted away from his phone screen for a moment, as he smirked in my direction.

"No?" Jamie spoke in a disappointed tone.

"Oh…I found it in my room and I thought it was yours so…I took it and wore it."

"You look good in it, don't worry." Tristian quickly commented, as I threw him a despairing glance. What was his problem?

"Is it yours?" Jamie asked Tristian, as Tristian let his phone slide onto his lap. Tristian laughed, as he began assessing the sweater on me with his eyes. They raked up and down, his eyes sparkling.

"Yup, it's mine alright and it fits her just mighty fine," he drawled as I grimaced. Oh crap. I didn't know, had I known it was Tristian's sweater…would I have worn it? Talk about awkward. My boyfriend was here, while I had on some other guy's sweater, let alone it was my brother's best friend's sweater. Shit.

Jamie awkwardly scratched the back of his neck, as I gulped. "Do you want me to change?" I spoke softly, I didn't know what else to say.

"Kind of…" Jamie spoke back, "I don't feel comfortable with you wearing another guy's jacket." He shrugged, as he flicked the remote control.

Tristian snorted, "and you're comfortable with giving another girl your jacket." I looked over at Tristian with a confused glance. What the crap was he talking about?

I saw Jamie stared hard at Tristian, as he quickly stood up. "Let's go meet his mother." He spoke, before pulling me away with him into the kitchen.

Aunt Cathy sat at the table, with a cup of coffee and the ipad in front of her. Realizing she had visitors, she quickly closed the ipad and motioned for us to sit across from her.

"Hello there." She spoke swiftly, as Jamie sat across from her.

"Hi ma'am."

"So you're the infamous Jamie huh? I've heard a lot about you."

"Oh really?" I sat down next to Jamie, as he laced my fingers between his. I cuddled closer to him, as I watched Aunt Cathy's eyes assess our position.

"I'm Catherine, Tristian's mother and one of Aleeahs care takers, if god forbid anything happen to her parents, nice to meet you."

Shaking her hand, Jamie used his charming smile that usually got adults to do what he said. "So tell me about yourself," she continued on.

"Well, my name is Jamie Mcguire. I'm a junior that goes to NorthShore High with Leah. I'm captain of the soccer team, an honor student and I love Leah very much."

I smiled at him and squeezed his hand, as he spoke the last part. He was too darn sweet sometimes.

"I see. So why are you here Jamie? I heard that you couldn't come, not to be rude or anything like that."

"I messed up," he confessed, "I had to come and apologize."

"That's nice," Aunt Cathy dismissed. Why was she being so…cold and indifferent towards him? She had only been friendly a few moments ago. Suddenly, Jamie's phone rang as he excused himself. Walking upstairs, I turned towards Aunt Cathy giving her a confused look. Did I miss something?

"He seems like a nice boy," she commented as I agreed.

"Yeah, he's pretty nice."

"So, does he make you happy sweetheart?" I hesitated before answering. Did he make me happy? Yeah, but not as happy as Tristian. Goddamn it, there it goes again. Tristian this, Tristian that, I was so tired of thinking and comparing everyone and everything to Tristian.

"Yeah, most of the time." I decided that was a safe answer. I could tell that she wanted to say something more, but refrained from doing so.

"Sometimes we think something or someone makes us happy, therefore we fail to see the reality behind them. Just becareful sweetheart, but if he makes you happy then I guess I have no other choice but to approve right?" She patted my hand, before sending me off to the living room.

As soon as I stepped foot into the living room, I saw Tristian still in the same position he was when Jamie and I left for the kitchen to talk to his mom.

"Fun conversation?" He grunted from the chair, as he began texting again. Who the hell was he texting that was so important?

"I guess." I mean, what the hell was I suppose to even say to that? I didn't know what his mother meant when she gave me this warning.

"So you're still coming to the bonfire tonight right?" He asked, as I nodded.

"It depends what time Jamie is bringing me back home."

"I think he's going home tonight," he muttered, turning his attention back to his hand held device.

"Oh? He didn't mention anything to me…Gosh. What's taking him so long? He's been on the phone for atleast half an hour now." I sighed, I just wanted to spend time with my boyfriend. I was a bit curious where he was taking me out tonight.

"Really? Here, you stay here and I'll go check." With that Tristian got off the couch and stretched. My eyes wandered over his toned body, as he caught me staring and gave a quick wink.

I rolled my eyes and muttered something along the lines of conceited pig, before he laughed. "Told you that it's impossible to resist this."

"I'm sure." He laughed, before ascending up the stairs.

Tristian's Point of View

Damn, why did I agree to this? I groaned, as I began to climb the stairs one by one. I didn't know why I offered to check up on her son of a bitch boyfriend. When I woke up this morning, I decided to try to erase all that pain from yesterday, by pretending nothing major had happened. I knew that regardless of how hard I tried, she'd always run back to him anyway.

My heart kept nagging at me, but I didn't really want to give into it. As I walked towards Ally's room, I heard a hushed voice speaking on the phone.

I was about to call his name, but I decided to listen in on his conversation. Christian might have mentioned something along the lines of Jamie being a tool and cheating on her. I, of course, saw him doing it but she wouldn't believe me. Could you believe that she picked that douche over me? And going with him on a god damn date tonight? What the actual fuck was going on?

"Hey baby," his voice spoke into the cellphone. Thank God his phone was on speakerphone so I could listen to who the fucker was calling.

"Hey sweetheart. I miss you so much." He chuckled, "I miss you too. It sucks that I'm down here with her instead of you."

God damn, the voice sounded so familiar but I couldn't place my finger on who the person was exactly.

"I know, but babe we'll tell her soon I promise. We have to get on her good side though, so just keep doing what you're doing."

He sighed frustrated, "I know but fuck. I wish I didn't have to do this. I don't really like her anymore...I sort of did but..."

"Just keep telling her you love her. We have to do this until it's safe for us to be a true couple. She's my friend, I don't want to hurt her..."

"Too fucking late," I muttered under my breath. Who the fuck was this girl?

"I know but... I wish I could just break up with her right now. Whenever we kiss, I wish it's you that I'm kissing. I know it's pathetic, but I imagine that it's you. I don't even know why you pushed me to come here."

"Babe, you know why I pushed you to go there. I told you, we need this security and cover. Soon enough we'll be together, but try not to fight anymore with her okay?"

"Alright," He grumbled, "She doesn't seem too into me anymore though...can I just break up with her?"

I smirked, that's because of me you douche bag. Hell to the mother fucking no was he going to break up with her. She was going to be the one who's gonna break it off with him.

"Baby, don't. We talked about this, if you break up with her then...it'll be worse than when we tell her. I don't want her to be devastated."

"What if she catches us? I want to let her down easy, she's still my friend."

"She won't. Trust me. We've been careful, and I doubt anyone knows so we'll just keep doing what we're doing okay? I'll let her known soon, okay? Don't worry."

I saw him sigh and look at the clock on the wall. "Baby, I love you so much. I have to go now. It's been a while already. She'll be wondering where I am."

"Alright baby, I love you too. Just...don't sleep with her okay? That wasn't part of the plan."

"I know. I won't, I promise. I'm sleeping in the guest room tonight. I'll see you soon."

"Bye babe. "

"See you soon sweetheart."

With that, he hung up and walked towards the door.

Shit. Should I confront him or hide?

"Well well well, if it isn't Christian's little bitch. What do you want?" He leered at me.

"Cheating on your girlfriend Mcguire? Isn't that a little low for you?" He laughed bitterly.

"So I guess you heard."

"Damn right I heard, are you stupid? Do you think Ally won't find out?" I quickly defended, feeling the urge to punch in his stupid ass face.

"Of course she won't. She won't be hearing it from me or from you any time soon. So you better shut your goddamn mouth."

"And what if I don't?" I challenged, what the fuck did he have to threaten me with anyways?

"You don't think I see the way you look at her? I'm not an idiot." I beg to differ, I thought silently to myself as I glared at him. He continued, "I know there's something going on between you two. Going after your bestfriend's younger sister? Isn't that a little cliche even for you Connors? I'm sure your best friend wouldn't like it."

My jaw clenched in anger, "he's fine with it." I gritted out, I remembered the talk I had with Christian.

"She would never go for you anyways. Don't you think she'd had enough of you and your games? Why would she trust you? You're known to cheat and break countless amount of hearts, who says that Aleeah won't be one of them? So if you know what's good for you, you better shut the fuck up and leave us alone."

I retracted my fist to punch the asshole in the face, when he stopped me.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. You know Leah gets when something hurts someone important to her." His eyes flashed with victory, as I assessed my options. I could either punch him in the face, and face Ally being upset at me or I could let the bastard go and continue to wiggle my way into her heart.

Not giving a shit, I aimed directly for his eye. Moments later, he ended up with a black eye and I ended up with a busted lip. Shit.

We struggled for a while, until I felt someone pull me away from him. "Yo, Tristian, calm down man." I heard Christian before relaxing and being released from his grip.

"And you," Christian threatened with menace, "what the fuck are you doing here? You're my sister's boyfriend and remember what I fucking told you when you two started dating you asshole?"

Jamie grunted.

"Hurt my sister, and I'll kick your goddamn ass. Get out of here." Christian growled, and landed a punch on the asshole's lip before he could leave. That's my best fucking friend, I thought with a smirk.

"Dude Christian—"

"Nah, save it. Just relax, I'll talk to you about this later." With that, he walked away, leaving me to assess the damage that Jamie did to my face. Fucking asshole.

Ally's Point of View

I munched on a pretzel absentminded as I stared at the television. Hearing footsteps, I glanced up seeing Jamie rush down the stairs.

"I gotta go," he murmured, as he quickly kissed my cheek. Realizing his eye had begun to turn a yellow green color, I pulled at his arm.

"What the hell happened to your face?" He turned quickly before shrugging his arm out of my grip.

"Nothing, leave it alone Leah."

"Oh my god, and your lip too?"

"What did I say dammit?"

"No. Stop. I'm leaving. Bye." With that, he quickly shuffled out of the house and slammed the front door. Shit.

"Leah," Chris came over, as he sat next to me on the recliner.

"Hmm?" I muttered, munching on another pretzel.

"Can we talk?" Offering him some snacks, he took a couple and popped them in his mouth. I nodded, cracking a small smile.

"Are you going soft on me?" My brother's laugh boomed throughout the living room, and he grinned.

"No, but this is serious. I want to talk about Jamie and this Tristian mess." I sighed, I knew this conversation was going to come up sooner or later.

"Okay, what about them?"

"How do you feel Leah? I know you uh, love? Jamie and all that crap, but don't keep my bestfriend hanging on the sidelines like that."

"I'm not trying to Chris. I don't know how I feel. I know that Tristian's been important and he's been for these past couple months, but what about Jamie? I can't just break up with him."

"He's a big boy, he'll understand," Chris patted my head lightly, as I leaned on his shoulder. The fireplace was warm and soothing, as we continued talking.

"I'm scared Chris."

Giving me a slight hug, he commented. "Why? What's scary Leah?"

"If I break up with Jamie…I don't know what I'll do. He's been there for the past 3 years of my life, and I don't know if I'm ready to let something go so easily."

"Leah, I know you don't want to hear this but as a big brother, I want you to know. He's cheating Leah, the signs are all there and I know that you care about him and he obviously cared about you but it's different now. You need to let him go before he hurts you anymore."

"I…I don't know. Tristian told me that Jamie's a cheater but I…it's hard to believe and I know I'm a hypocrite because god knows how many times I've sinned and did things with Tristian while with Jamie but I…"

"No, you don't deserve this Leah. You need someone who's going to protect you and I know Tristian's fucked up so many times and he had a girl not so long ago, but I think he's changed Leah. He's my best bud and I don't want to entertain the idea of my bestfriend and my little sister hooking up, but it's too late. Leave Jamie; please Leah. I know you're scared to but I swear, I'll protect you from the asshole."

I smiled lightly, giving him a hug. "God, I feel so stupid. I told Tristian that I was going to break up with Jamie the next time I see him, but I lied…I feel terrible Chris."

"You're a good person Leah, and I know you've made mistakes but hey, we're young and we're stupid. What can we do? All you gotta do is live and learn right now."

"I know we don't get emotional a lot, but I just want you to know that I'm your big brother and I'll protect you from everything and anything. You're gonna be fine Leah, and remember it's okay to cry but don't waste too many tears on him, alright?"

I nodded, "thanks Chris. I love you."

"Love you too, Leah. Now that we're done here, go help Tristian."

"What happened to him?" My eyes widened, as Chris got up.

"Let's just say he got into a little tumble, you know us men."

"Boys," I corrected laughing.

"Yeah yeah, shut up. He's upstairs, so I'll leave you to that to. Just don't…touch him too much." Chris spoke awkwardly, "Uh, not while I'm here. I mean…just don't touch him at all. Shit, just help him okay? Just don't do anything I wouldn't do while I'm in the house."

"That's barely anything…" I laughed, as he rubbed a hand over his face.

His face slightly paled, as he quickly waved me upstairs. "Just go." I heard him mutter words to himself, which I found quite entertaining, while I climbed the stairs walking towards Tristian's bedroom, with butterflies in my stomach.

A/N: So I edited this chapter a bit, because of some comments people made. I'm not hurt by it, it's constructive criticism which I like. Uh, so I've decided to edit a bit of the earlier chapters because I'm changing their ages and grades. So instead of them being Juniors in high school, they're going to be seniors! I originally started this story wanting it to be a one story kinda thing, but now I think I'm going to write a sequel to it so in order to do that, I need them to be seniors. LOL. Thanks for understanding and sticking with me through this!

Thanks for the support once again! I love ya'll! 3
