I believe in me. Yes, it is a lot of responsibility.
It is not like a belief system would make me burden free.
It would make me think less, but worrying, is the one that causes stress.
How do you even follow a belief system without thinking you are correct?
So isn't a religion just believing in yourself indirectly?
To me, that is not satisfactory. I don't like middlemen.
Why believe in god, when I can just believe in me?
This may seem like an attack on religion, if that is your belief,
how can I disagree?
But it is an attack on any system that would make you believe,
that what feels right is wrong.
As if you were born being able to distinguish the two needlessly.
Sure there are things you won't understand, plans might, no, will go awry.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't try.
Afraid to ride on your own? Training wheels weren't meant to be there forever.
You are free to believe I am wrong, it is okay to believe so strongly.
It just feels so right to believe in me.
