Enemies for life

Even though he and I fought many of times

The truth came down to this we never hated each other

We just had to pretend like we hated one another

Yet the truth was we actually loved one another

It didn't seem like it at first but oh we love each other so much

And in the end the one I love had to pay the price

I know people said he deserve what he got but wasn't really necessarily to kill him like that?

He never wanted to live in this world in beginning

- Kyo

Love Is Love Arc 1: Striking The Distance

Chapter 1: The Future

Tears streamed down his porcelain skin as he knelt beside the fallen form of his best friend and greatest enemy. Even though they were constantly at each others heads the two actually never really hated each other they were envy of one another. Everyone speculated how crazy two were because they go to certain lengths whenever the two fought. For instance they would sit in hot boil of water to see whoever could last the longest. Even if it was third degree burn the two denied who came victories and progress of fighting would go on like always. Oddly enough neither challenge they ever face were ever good enough so two friends would agree to do another challenge. And same outcome would occur.

What he couldn't believe that his best friend, the one person that had been his enemy from the beginning and biggest jerk of entire school population was dying not to mention nobody didn't dared to stop running to save him. For an odd reason even if he couldn't save him he tried to something which was hopeless. It wasn't his fault that this was happening to him out of all people they could have killed. It was him. Everyone said he brought this on himself. That he deserves what was happening to him. But his archenemy to very end differs. Knowing his enemy was dying right there and now hurt so much that it wasn't even funny. And sad part about his so-called partners weren't helping him instead they were running for their lives. Yet somehow at his last time of living he managed to muster out some words.

"I nev...never wanted this to happen. I never wanted to be your enemy." He breathed out. If it wasn't for his good hearing than he wouldn't hear him.

"Then why Messiah. You had so many opportunities to change yourself I even gave out a helping hand why did you choose to like the others." This was disappointment in his voice.

"I was too stubborn as mule to see that. It was always about you when I go and I hated that. I didn't want fight you or be your enemy or hurt you it had to prove myself to the others. At first, I wanted to become your friend than everyone told me had to do something to keep my name. I couldn't sit there while you stole my glory away from me. So the easiest way to do if I made you become my enemy and by then it was already too late, you already hated me, Kyo."

"Why did you have to drag the others in the scheme you would've been their friends if you just have tried." Kyo tried to reason with him.

Kyo watched as a strange expression came across the dying teenage boy's as if he managed to muster up some courage. His body drew up as much as he could.

"I didn't want you to be my best friend. I wanted you to be mine. Didn't you ever wonder why none of my relationships last?"

Messiah looked at him beseechingly as Kyo tried to hide his shock. At first he like him more than just enemies or friends but because of Messiah upbringings he'd forced those thoughts away and did his best focus only on girls. However the more he tried the less his attempts became since all girls he ever dated knew the mask that he wore. The circumstances came to this if he stopped pretending he was straight probably his friends and family would accept him, even though he never had courage to tell them. His mother and sister guessed and ex girlfriend had to fine out the hard way. Honestly who would guess the starter basketball ace would be a dominant gay.

The fact that Messiah wanted him from very beginning made his world shattered. Could things have been different if he never had fought so hard. Could he had stopped Messiah turning into his enemy or at least from hating him. Of all his biggest regret was losing would be Messiah.

"What your trying to say you wanted me all this time? Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you come to me? What were possibly doing this entire time?" Kyo gushed out question after question.

Messiah's voice grew weaker each time he tried to speak and in the end he coughed out blood. Kyo tried to help him stop but it was no use. Over next hour, the ambulance came and took Messiah along with Kyo.

The doctors tried everything could do to heal Messiah or at least prevent blood from gushing out of his body. Whether or not Kyo couldn't leave Messiah there alone so he stayed all night. He prayed that Kyo wouldn't succumbed to his injuries not now or ever.

"Excuse me sir." A nurse said, quietly but loud enough for Kyo to hear.

"Yes?" Kyo inquired.

"Your friend Messiah, he's awake." Answered the nurse.

"Really! This is great! Now that he's awake I can finally tell him how I feel than maybe just maybe we could be together!" Kyo beamed.

"Please follow me to his room, sir." The nurse led Kyo right from waiting room where he saw Messiah laying down. At first, Kyo walked towards the door and twist around before actually entering. He had desires to see Messiah but he didn't want to act like fool in front of him.

"Kyo?" Messiah's voice raspy, questioning.

The two teenage male's eyes lock, and Kyo's walked over with mind of its own as it only focus on was Messiah's lips. Kyo lips brushed gingerly against his, the very whisper of a kiss was happening. Messiah willingly open his mouth allowing Kyo to enter. They found themselves in Heaven. Their eyelids droop closed as they explore each others mouth. A small groan release from Messiah mouth as Kyo's tongue, frantic and hungry, and intertwining Messiah's.

I must be dreaming! Or am I dead? Messiah was so psyched in his thoughts that he couldn't believe what was happening.

Just when Kyo was about to take of his shirt someone came in.

"Oh my god Messiah. . . Kyo. . ."

Their names whisper, like some kind of prayer. Neither Kyo or Messiah care whom this voice were. They proceeded to thrust into each others mouth until they hear another voice speak.

"What the hell are you doing kyo?!" This voice was husky, icy, and anger when it screamed.

"Dad!" Kyo gasped, his hands in the air.

"Don't forget Suzie too I'm here too!" The first voice was bubbly and childish from a little girl. This was Kyo's younger sister.

"What are you doing?" Kyo's dad feigned confusion.

Kyo smirked. "What does it look like I'm doing?" He asked. Again, he dived down and planted kiss on Messiah's lips while his dad covered Suzie's eyes.

Messiah's doe-brown eyes widened. Never thought Kyo would go to certain lengths to prove his love for him.

"That's what I'm doing, dad. Messiah's my boyfriend whether you like it or not." Kyo stated, his arms crossed. His dad definitely wasn't pleased by what he was hearing. He fumed.

To be continued. . .
