Go to bed you, I know you're tired

I can see your eyes closing

your body is shifting

Into something heavy

Burden free

As you melt into the bed

That's close beside me

I'll be fine just rest your head

We'll wake up soon together again

But for now I must stay

Listening to comfort

Familiar tap of the computer keys

Rain drops pouring heavily outside my window

A few miles of thunder

Rumbling a few towns over

It's relaxing to feel and hear

The sky is leaving me company

To break this bonding silence

Get back to counting sheep

And cuddling teddy's

I'll be there when you awake

And we can start over again
