A/N: If you made it this far then this is the end. I know that it's short and blunt but to be honest I have no passion to continue this story. Love Thy Enemy was a story I started in the 8th grade with two of my friends at the time. When I reread this story I internally cringe because it's so poorly written and missing huge plot add ons, action, etc. At the time in my life in which I submitted this story, it was my intention to clean up my eight grade slaughter and try to perfect it but it didn't turn out that way. With school adding into the mix and going through a small depression I couldn't give all of you a story that you deserved.
Right now at the moment I'm in my second year of college, and this story (even though it was uploaded about a year or so ago) is six years old. If I were to continue, it would need heavy editing and at this point in life it is way too stressful to do this particular story.
I'm hoping one day to reboot this story but as of yet this is it. If I can get through the edit there may be a sequel but one of my friends has considered to do a continuation for me. Right now, for all you Wattpad users, you can find my profile under the same name. On my page 'Two Sides of a Coin' has been written under the title "The Identity Behind the Mask" if you wish to continue that story. I'm sorry to all my fans who have followed me and it was a pleasure to write for you. So without further ado...the last chapter for 'Love Thy Enemy'.
There was an ache in my chest and I was terrified to be alone. I could definitely say I'm not as sane as I used to be and now with my sister, I don't know how much longer we can take to hiding away from him.
Right now, my sister Ettie, was curled up into a ball on our hotel bed. The hotel room was dark and dingy. It was obvious that this was just a place to get hookers or buy drugs. Remembering what it was like to sleep in the woods before I came to the academy, I assumed we were much better off in this hotel room that in the mind-numbing winter.
After I met her in the park, it was a complete grab and go. We really didn't have time to talk about anything since she passed out as soon as we got into the car. I immediately just started driving to the outskirts of town. I first I wanted to go back home to my mate but after what was said, I don't think that it would be a good idea. On top of that our father could be anywhere searching for her. To have both of us in the same place could be potentially dangerous.
I tried to go back through my memories to see what I could remember about Ettie. Her real name was Eternity and she was born purposely for experimentation. I've met her a few times but we never played with each other. She was awfully shy as a child and spent most her time hiding under my bed whenever my father was angry and was looking to hit someone. Right around eight or seven my father took her somewhere else and she never came back to the house.
It wasn't until I started school that I began to receive emails from her. Every two weeks she would send me an email about wanting to be free of his tyranny and begging to for me to help her escape. Not knowing what to do, I could only give her suggestions on what to do since I wasn't there physically to help her.
She made her escape and here we laying on a mattress together for warmth. My small bulge was pressed against her back and my arm was wrapped around her shoulders. At first she hadn't noticed the pregnancy until we were changing our clothes we had gotten from a nearby thrift store while getting ready for bed.
"How far along are you?"
"Um….I think now should be one month. But I feel like because of our mutant genes, the baby is growing faster. Usually Darius would know something about how our genetics mix."
"Yeah...he's my mate. He's a genetics and defense teacher at my school."
"Well where is he now?" she asked, looking over her shoulder. I sighed and ran my fingers through her hair.
"We got into a fight, and I thought it was best to leave."
"Best for you or for him?" she asked quietly. I didn't respond back to her and looked elsewhere. "I don't know what it's like to have a mate, but if I could have one I wouldn't leave...I would work it out."
"What's done is done. It's not like he wants me anymore." I mumbled. Ettie frowned and rolled over.
"Why not? You're one of the nicest people I know."
"Our dad...he doesn't like him...and he thinks my dad paired us purposely to ruined his life and get me pregnant."
"If he believes that then he's a dick. We'll take care of each other and the baby will be fine." she grabbed my hand and squeezed it. Closing my eyes I prayed that she was right as we were going to start a journey that we will never forget.
