Chapter 15
"We'll leave the car right here and sneak our way to the camp," Julian explained as he switched off the car.
Violet nodded and both of them climbed out of the Ford and quickly ran to the nearest bush. Julian used his binoculars to see how many guards were at the camp entrance, he counted seven.
"How are we going to get through all those guards?" Violet asked.
"We'll have to distract them. You could pretend that you were lost and needed help while I kill them, but we might want to keep one of them alive so we have a hostage,"
"Good idea, you'll have to use the silencer though,"
Julian stared at her with a surprized look "Do you really think I'm THAT stupid?"
She chuckled "Sorry, I was just-"
"Interfering? Don't worry I understand completely," he winked.
She rolled her eyes "Yeah, yeah make a big deal out of it,"
He smiled at her "No problem,"
"Okay, focus Julian! We have an army to kill,"
"Let's do this, you go first and I'll slowly approach them from a different direction so they don't see me, and when I start shooting them I want you to stab one in the shoulder and keep him still while I make sure all the others are dead, got it?"
"Rodger that,"
Violet slowly made her way to the camp; she tried to look as scared as possible "Hello? Can you help me? I can't find my daughter and I don't know where to go, please… please help me!"
"Uh, where have you last seen your daughter, miss?" one of the men asked.
"She was-"
Violet was interrupted when the man in front of her fell to the ground. She knew Julian had shot him because blood started pumping out of his head. She quickly took her own gun out of her jeans' back pocket and shot two of the other men. Julian killed three more and Violet stabbed one in the shoulder, forcing him to drop his gun. Julian quickly made his way to where Violet held the man and he strapped his wrists together with cable ties. He held a knife to the man's neck and pressed on his wound.
"Where are you keeping the prisoners?" Julian asked in a calm tone.
"Why the hell should I tell you?" the man spat.
"Because if you don't, we'll have to do more than just stab you in the shoulder,"
The man chuckled "I'm SO scared,"
Violet pulled her knife back and stabbed him right in his upper thigh.
"WHERE ARE THEY KEEPING THE PRISONERS?" Julian asked more intimidating this time.
"They're… they're in that building," the man muttered in pain.
There was a building not too far from them; it had grey walls and high fences. It almost looked like a prison of some sort. A few men were guarding the main gate and a few lights were on inside. Julian nodded and pressed a gun against the man's head.
"Violet, you need to make sure the coast is clear and that no one is following us okay?"
She nodded and kept an eye on her surroundings, although she couldn't really see much through the trees and bushes.
"Go behind that tree and aim for the guards at the main gate, on my mark you shoot all of them, got it?" Julian whispered.
"Got it," she quickly hurried to the tree. She aimed at the guards and waited for Julian to confirm the shoot. When he got a safer place to hide, he nodded for Violet to start shooting. One by one the men fell to the ground.
When all the men were either dead or in no state to move, Violet made her way to the gate and shot the lock open. She entered with Julian right behind her. They quietly made their way to the door, luckily it wasn't locked. She slowly pushed the door open and peeked inside, no one was around. She went in and Julian followed, still pressing the gun against the man's head.
"Good, we're in," Julian whispered.
"Where should we go now? This place is huge," Violet said.
"Well, I was hoping he could tell me," Julian said as he waited for the guard to tell them where to go.
"I'm not saying anything, kill me if you want, you can-" before the man could continue, another sharp pain stung through his leg.
"I never liked stubborn people," Violet said as she slowly pulled the blade from the man's right leg.
"They're in the third hall to the right on the second floor," the man explained in excruciating pain.
"I hope you're telling the truth," Julian said before he pulled the trigger.
Violet stared coldly at the body lying at her fiancé's feet. She didn't really care much, especially after all the other deaths she had witnessed in the past few weeks.
"Come on, we need to hurry before someone finds us here," Julian said as he grabbed Violet's arm and pulled her in the direction to where the guard had explained.
They quickly made their way to the elevators, which was off course not working.
"Damn it," Julian cursed.
They sprinted up a nearby flight of stairs. Julian peeked around a corner and saw three guards in the hallway; he shot each and every one of them.
"The coast is clear, let's go," he instructed.
Violet followed him to the second hall on the right, but surprisingly there were no guards. They slowly made their way to the third hall where the guard said the prisoners were kept. But still no guards were around. As they made their way to the big door on the left side they heard a gun being reloaded. They froze and slowly turned around, three large men with huge guns were standing behind an older looking guy, he was short but he looked dangerous.
"You must be Julian and Violet, am I right?" the older man asked with an evil smirk on his face.
They just stared at him.
"Well, I was expecting you to be more… friendly. You're family members have been waiting on you for a few days now. Do you want to see them?" the man asked.
Violet and Julian gazed at each other, like they were discussing the matter.
"I take that as a yes. Boys…" he said, and the large men behind him grabbed Julian and Violet and threw then into the same room the other people were in.
"Now you enjoy your last few hours with your family," the man said as he locked the large doors.
"Is everything ready?" the old man asked.
"Almost, boss. We just need to move the crane in position," one of the men answered.
"Good, I want you to be ready by midnight," the man said.
