This is a small collection of poems about griffins. All poems are owned and written by me.
The Black Griffin
The black griffin perches
The black griffin sings
The black griffin searches
He takes to the sky on his black, gloomy wings
...
Why does he stare upon barren ground?
What is there to see, what is there to be found?
The black griffin knows, in his unknown ways
The black griffin must know! Cry Night and Day
...
The black griffin knows why
The black griffin sees
The black griffin must fly
While he searches and grieves
...
King! Cry the eagles, the jackdaws, the crows
Why? The griffin is their ruler, they know
King! Cry the panthers, the lions, the leopard
Why? Their king soars above, the great cats are sure
...
The black griffin ignores
The black griffin remains deaf
The black griffin soars
Above misery and death
...
Fly, must the griffin, his wings dark and black
Fly, must the griffin, for he cannot turn back
Escape, must the griffin, from his treacherous past
Flee, must the griffin, until Earth sees its last
...
The black griffin screams
The black griffin o'er ground
The black griffin, it seems,
Is still searching for
What cannot be found.
...
I messed up the rhyme at the end, but I was feeling sort of lazy when I wrote this. I hope it didn't sound too bad.
